Born of the traditions of the Old West, the Rough Rider maintains much of the look and feel of the legendary Single Action Army revolver, only in a scaled down version. Chambered for the .22LR, the Rough Rider is manufactured using state-of-the-art precision machinery that assures its accuracy and reliability. The cylinder lock-up is tight and the perfect timing of the action makes for a handgun that will put its shots where you want ’em.

The machined barrel is micro-threaded and inserted into the frame for the optimal barrel/cylinder gap to give you maximum ammunition performance. A hammer block mounted in the recoil shield provides extra protection and has a red dot indicator that lets you know when the gun is ready for action. A new, more authentic looking flat-sided hammer paired with new exotic cocobolo grips, makes the Rough Rider both functional and handsome. There are also other grip materials available, plus finish options include the attractive and durable Smooth Silver Satin. When it comes to the Rough Rider there are no shortcuts taken!

Ideal for hunting, plinking or western action shooting, let the Rough Rider be your choice in a new rimfire revolver.

Good plinker for the price. Two things I wish they had done differently: the cocobolo grips could have been left unfinished, whatever they used to finish the wood looks cheap. Also, the ejector rod has a plastic arm on it that sticks way out, I would think it would catch easily and break off. I replaced it with a stainless steel security six ejector rod that I had to cut some material off and grind it down so the taper would fit thru the hole.

This is a great, fun shooting pistol. Mine arrived in perfect shape, everything was tight and ready to go. I put about 100 round through it, 50 LR, and then switched cylinders to a WMR, and put another 50 through it. Not one misfire. My brother is quite a firearms enthusiast and was quite impressed with the Rough Rider. I do believe I'll be ordering another one with the 6.5" barrel. A terrific buy at a great price. I liked everything about it, no complaints at all.

Worked great and can’t beat the price. Especially like that you can utilize .22 WMR by just buying a cylinder from Heritage for about $30. The safety seems unnecessary. Gun would be perfect without it.

This is a sweet revolver! Shoots great and if you spend an extra $30 you can turn it into a 22 mag. Sweet!!

This is one sweet revolver! I love the feel and weight distribution and the way it lays in my hand. I have been looking at the Rough Rider for several months and when this holiday rebate came into play it was a no brainer! This revolver is very well made and Heritage has definitely captured the look and feel of the old west with this one. I’m so impressed with it I can’t wait to go see how it shoot’s! I purchased this for $90 less than I could have purchased at Academy Sports and other online stores. Thanks for having such an awesome selection of quality firearms!

The pistol will only fire 5 of 6 rounds in the cylinder. After some research, this is pretty common from the manufacturer. If you purchase this revolver, be prepared to send it to the factory for repair immediately. When the pistol does fire, it is accurate. There is an option to order a .22 Magnum cylinder direct from the manufacturer.

Well-constructed all metal six shooter!! Can't beat the price!! Purchased the magnum cylinder. Shoots great for a budget plinker. Didn't really care for the safety but i am getting use to it. Also comes in a 9 shot version.

Love this revolver. Quality is good and to go out and shoot is inexpensive. Makes the experience enjoyable for new shooters.

Really enjoy this gun. Mine is not super accurate but still fun to shoot. I probably enjoy reloading it and unloading it more than shooting it. I liked it so much I bought the 16” version with the mag cylinder. Would recommend

These are a great value. Put 100 rounds of CCI through it and pretty accurate! Primer strikes were a tad light, but they all went bang just fine.

Unfortunately, we haven’t had a chance to test this pistol yet but it looks like a fun little plinker. I purchased the Magnum cylinder for it as well which basically evened out the purchase with the rebate. I’m sure we’ll enjoy firing it.

Ordered about a month and a half ago. Front sight came bent. After about 150 rounds, the hammer doesn't have enough tension to fire a round and the trigger has developed and EXTREMELY light trigger pull. I would like to say that I might have just gotten a dud. However, I bought a second one (before this one went bad) and it has developed a problem with reliable cylinder rotation. All in a matter of weeks. For the price, I didn't expect this to be a lifetime purchase, or to be on par with a

Great fun western style 6 shooter. Great starter pistol. Bad flaw…frame is not blued but painted and it flakes off easy. Not sure why they are still doing that. Because it’s $109 I guess?

I can't give it 5 stars, It's a nice gun a lot of aftermarket support however there had been two issues that lead me to believe that they are lacking in Quality Control. One the plunger just fell off the screw came out, luckily I found the screw, there was no lock tite on it so I applied some and put it back in. However the biggest problem is accuracy and since these are fixed sights there isn't much I can do other than send it back and hope they are able to file them to adjustment. The sights

Great Gun! Frustrating customer service. Ordered two pistols at the same time. You’d think they would look the same? Nope! Different colored wood grips. After much debate w/ customer service on multiple occasions they did the right thing and sent out a replacement grip.

I love this revolver. It feels good in my hand, action is solid, and shoots tighter groups than my Ruger Wrangler. I used to own a Ruger Single Six which was awesome. I regretted selling it. At some point I had tried a Heritage and thought it was great. I haven’t beeen disappointed by owning my own now.

Very nice handling little plinker. Using the .22 mag cylinder when outdoors makes short work of snakes, coyotes and other pests up close.

I'll give it a 5 star overall score. The only issue I've had is the frame's paint was scratched in a couple of places when I received it. Nothing that could be seen without some inspection. I took the cylinder out and covered the barrel and sprayed it with some black auto paint for wheels. Looks great! The barrel and the cylinder(s), are as well machined as any other I've seen. This thing is a BLAST to shoot. Make sure you get the .22 WMR cylinder, too. It makes a world of difference if
