Born of the traditions of the Old West, the Rough Rider 22lr maintains much of the look and feel of the legendary Single Action Army revolver, only in a scaled-down version. Chambered for the .22LR cartridges, the Rough Rider is manufactured using state-of-the-art precision machinery that assures its accuracy and reliability. The cylinder lock-up is tight, and the perfect timing of the action makes for a handgun that will put its shots where you want ’em.
The machined barrel is micro-threaded and inserted into the frame for the optimal barrel/cylinder gap to give you maximum ammunition performance. A hammer block mounted in the recoil shield provides extra protection and has a red dot indicator that lets you know when the gun is ready for action. A new, more authentic-looking flat-sided hammer paired with new exotic cocobolo grips, makes the Rough Rider both functional and handsome. Other grip materials are also available, plus finish options include the attractive and durable Smooth Silver Satin. When it comes to the Rough Rider there are no shortcuts taken!
Ideal for hunting, plinking or western action shooting, let the Rough Rider be your choice in a new rimfire revolver.

2 years agoAfter receiving the pistol I purchased the magnum cylinder and installed it took it to the range and it only fired two shots apparently the firing pin is not striking the rim with sufficient force for the cartridge to Fire however I have not had a chance to shoot the pistol with the long rifle cylinder so I will have to update this after that wish me luck

1 year agoI think I recieved a factory second or blemished model. The finish was horrible, the site was crooked, the hammer and grip had a dent. I realize this is a cheap plinker but my buddy got the same rough rider at a local shop and had absolutely no issues. I contacted Heritage and it was sent to them the same week I got the gun. Maybe I got a lemon I dont know. The gun did shoot so ill give it that. Still kind of a bummer to have your brand new toy show up a beat up. The price also fell a couple days after i bought mine which was lame. That was my experience hopefully yours is different.

1 year agoBro, quit scrolling past and just buy one. It's a lot of gun for the price especially when on sale. I put 50 rds through it yesterday. Primer strikes look kinda weak but all went bang just fine even with cheap Blazer bulk. Fit and finish is excellent.

1 year agoWhat a fun addition to my collection. It's just like WestWorld, just .22LR instead of .45. Smooth single action, no recoil. Have to get used to the sights, no dots. Overall I love this piece.

1 year agoGreat gun! Easy peasy. Will purchase again for gifts in the future. Also got a holster from heritage directly via their website. Good equipment for the price.

1 year agoNice pistol. Works well as SAO. Good hand feel. Nice weight. Don't like that it has a manual safety. Kinda loses the imagery of a true Western SA revolver. Also this specific gun of mine does not like to shoot .22Mag. I own several of these but this one's firing pin does not strike the base of the cartridge hard enough to fire consistently. Works great on standard .22LR though when you swap out cylinders. Good plinker

1 year ago$99 deal is a no brainer and this is a 5 star if you look at it through that lens. I gave 4 stars bc I have to say that 1 of the 2 I have sticks a bit after you fire rounds... almost as if the dent the firing pin puts on the casing warps the casings just enough to cause the cylinder to stick and hang up... I can force it to turn by using my hand to move the cylinder when this happens just saying

1 year agoLove this little thing. Super accurate and cheap range fun. Great practice gun for people just getting in to shooting or the little ones. Highly recommend.

1 year agoWorst gun I've ever owned. Straight out of the box, only thing you can do is keep pulling the hammer back and pulling the trigger. Sometimes it'll fire, most times it will not. Your better off throwing the loaded gun at whatever your shooting at to hit it before the gun will go off.

1 year agothis is a great pistol, accurate, reliable, looks good and ya gotta love that old style SA 4-click action. it would be great without the thumb saftey.

1 year agoBought for Grandsons, they loved to shoot them, looking to buy 2 more. I have nothing negative to say about them.

1 year agoAbsolute garbage - a real POS. 75% misfires, in addition to trigger hang up. Heritage made it not worth the return. I will be buying a Ruger or a Cimarron 22lr revolver. Cheap is often expensive. I learned my lesson.

1 year agoI’ve been wanting a revolver for a while. When I saw the sale for Christmas I decided it was time to get a rough rider. Overall it seems well made. The finish could be a little better but it is a fun we carry for trapping so It’s gonna get some wear. It seems well built so far but only have an about 20 rounds through it.

1 year agoExcellent! Very accurate and priced right. I have bought several of these through PSA and they are great to deal with. You can’t go wrong with these especially if you have children or in my case grandchildren. You will have years of quality fun.

1 year agoRemember, the Heritage revolvers are designed to be starter guns. The quality of the gun is on par for $100 revolver but does not compare to $800+ revolvers. If you are looking to buy a starter gun, the Heritage is a great gun for that purpose. There are lots of options to customize it to your liking. They are reliable and fun to shoot.

1 year agoAmazing how some believe that an inexpensive revolver can’t have high quality. This one is accurate, fun, and is all I need for occasional recreation (yes, within gun safety guidelines).
