I call it my cordless drill. Its an uzi weight 11 shot forty with out of the box accuracy and punch. Recoil much softer compared to a compact in that caliber. Big plus is the magazines also fit the 10mm ammo i use in my 1095. Its a modern cowboy combo...

Initial rounds from this pistol gave me several FTF & FTE. Mag was causing the round to nose dive giving me the FTF. Tuned the mags and polished the feed ramp. Now this pistol operates flawlessly!

They're called bricks for a reason. It's bulky and heavy. It's not a CCW. That being said, I've found it to be reliable and very accurate. In fact, I can shoot this thing more accurately than any of my other more expensive handguns.

Heavy as sin, can substitute for a hammer if you run out of ammo. I was so thankful the day I pawned it and bought something much better.

Wow, this gun is so much fun to shoot. People may call it ugly, but I like it's bold, chunky styling. This will not be my last Hi Point purchase

I'm really not sure how the pistol is, I only had the chance to look at it. I'm still waiting for my paperwork to go through. But by the look of it, it looked pretty sturdy.

Bought this as a pissing around gun,,, maybe even a drop unit since it was so cheap,,, I have not shot it yet. This gun is extremely heavy for what it is,,, would probably have to wear in a shoulder holster,,, not on the waist,, it would pull my pants down.

Good price but the slide is terrible to pull back and sticks at times. Maybe it will loosen up after shooting. I bought this for my son. I was kind of embaressed when we looked at it.

Bought this as an inexpensive backup. I have had good experience with Hi Point 9mm and expected the same here. But... They advertise 10+1. If I force 10 rounds of Speer Lawman 180 grain into the magazine and one in the chamber, once the chamber round is fired the next round in the magazine hangs and the gun jams. I have purchased two of these and two additional magazines so I can eliminate it being a magazine problem. With 9 rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber it works most of

Gun is very reliable. Clip spring is very stiff, but may get easier with usage. Trigger is long pull and can cause you to jerk gun before your shot. Over all fair value for the price..

People love to hate on hi-point for some reason. But this is a great quality firearm at very good price. American made with a lifetime warranty. Most people comment on how “ugly” it looks but I for one like the way it looks. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I suppose. This thing is built like a tank! If your looking for a reliable, solid handgun, you can’t go wrong with Hi-point, especially considering the price.

It's definitely a brick in the hand. I got it because I wanted a gun in 40 and didn't want to spend a lot. Not a range shooter for sure and not something to carry around all day but it's good for taking when walking around in the back country and don't want to beat up a good revolver. I have shot it but not much one jam out of 50 rounds and that was the very first round I probably didn't have it seated properly in the mag.

Heavy brick of a pistol but I like this vs. lightweight full-size sidearms. Not as easy to break down for cleaning but not bad. Accurate and handles p+ rounds. The extra weight lowers recoil. Well worth the money. Just wish it had high -capacity mags, but who doesn't..

Don't be a gun snob! Bulls eye right out of the box, 200 rounds (180g) at the range today, not a single jam. Hi-point has to be the most tortured pistol on the internet, so I know it will hold up. Okay it's kinda ugly, heavy, and not real ergonomic; for the price you get a lot of fun at the range and a hard hitting 40 you can keep in the glove box and not worry about it.

Great 40 S&W for the price. Little on the heavy side compared to the Glock 40. Have put 150 brass jacketed rounds through it with no problems

Buy the handgun, break it in, it'll serve you a long time. For the price I can buy the pistol, 15 + boxes of ammunition, and be DEEP into practicing the firearm for the $500 price of a Glock.

Good gun for the price point, I’ve ran only about 30 rounds through it hadn’t had a jam as of yet only downside is the weight it’s not as light as other hand guns but I gotta admit the weight does help with recoil so that’s not enough for me to knock it down to four stars the main thing is it fires and is my vehicle gun in case I forget my main carry. Would I recommend it? Yes and no if you are on a budget and just want something for your house, boat, or vehicle that you aren’t gonna be afraid

Please ignore all the "gun buffs" there is NOTHING wrong with Hi-Points. This gun is very affordable and IT DOES WORK! Lol, this gun rarely jams on me while taking it to the range. It's cheap and reliable. My only complaint of how heavy and big the gun is, so it is very difficult to carry it in a holster or on person. When I carry this, I make sur...Read More Read more about review stating Great Gun

It’s to big and heavy. I don’t think is gun to carry as a concealed. Is to bulky. I will return it but if I send it back I lost money. If I know is that big I will get a .45. Thanks anyway
