The VP9 was developed by Heckler & Koch to meet the need for an ergonomically enhanced handgun. The VP9 striker fired design ensures a consistent trigger pull weight from the first shot to the last. Safety features abound on the VP9 and include a Push Button Magazine Release and a unique side mounted drop safety for the firing pin. The frame incorporates a trigger mounted safety that prevents accidental discharge if the VP9 is struck or dropped, and a disconnector ensures that the slide must be in battery for the VP9 to fire.

1 year agoI test fired multiple pistols at my local range. Once completed and with some additional research, I selected the HK VP9. For me, the grip is great (can modify grip easily if needed with supplied parts from HK), the trigger is excellent and most importantly, it just shoots really well...better than any of the others I tried. I look forward going to the range to practice with this pistol and would definitely recommend to others, whether for home defense or otherwise. You definitely get what you pay for with an HK.
