Hornady 20ga 250gr FTX Slug Ammunition 5rds – 86232

Really wish I could make myself like this product as I'm a huge fan of Hornaday but the consistency is horrible. Bought 3 boxes and after bore sighting my Savage 220 was delivering sub MOA groups at 100 yards. Wow! Went back and bought 3 more boxes for deer season. Went back to the range a month before season and can't get a group under 5 inches. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. I can't ethically shoot over 100 yards with my $1000 rig which irritates the heck out of me.

We’ll this are the best slug but we’re in Cali and lead ammo was prohibited can provide us more information of all hunting ammo of non lead projectile ..

This product is basically all that is available right now at outlets everywhere. I'm at least glad that it is! Understanding that different slug guns like different loads, I've found that this SST does not group as well as heavier 3 inch rounds, from my Savage 220 bolt action slug gun. From a pretty good rest, I've not been able to manage better than a 5 inch group at 100 yds which makes 150 to 200 yard shots pretty risky.

Love this ammo. My savage 220 loves it as well. 1 inch groups at 100 yards within 2 shots after bore sighting. Can’t wait to see what they do this deer season.

I've got to admit I absolutely love this stuff! Absolutely awesome that hornaday makes this product for the 20 gauge not a lot of lines of this type of ammo is available in 20 gauge usually only in 12 gauge so I was super stoked actually about 10 boxes which was a little Overkill!! I've shot five of them I will save the other fiber rainy day and boy did I have fun shooting them these things are no joke don't shoot anything with this shotgun shell that you don't plan on destroying cuz it will annihilate it including jack rabbits or 55 gallon drums!!

By far the the most accurate slug I’ve shot with my Savage bolt action slug gun. Consistent grouping at 100 yds. Tagged 3 bucks - between my grandson and I. He got 2!! Lol - clean kills Highly recommended! I would like to try the 3 inch slugs but I can never find them.

These are my #1 slugs for deer! Have gotten many deer with them & accurate! Hornady is a trusted name & nice to know I could get them from the Sportsmans Warehouse!
