Hornady 380 90gr FTX Critical Defense Ammunition 25rds – 90080

PopPed a Couple of rounds and dug them out To see the expansion. Loved it but didnt think to sav them for a picture.

It functioned fine in my Ruger LCP and I'm sure I can rely on it. I only wish the prices were more "normal".

Use in my Ruger LCP Max. I have only fired 5 rounds because of the expense. They fed, fired reliably and went where I was aiming. My gun is currently loaded with them and I pray I’ll never find out how effective they are.

.380 ammo is generally not considered a heavy round but I have to say, I would not like to get shot with this round. I carry the gun in this calibre as needed and i have no reason to think it will not do anything but create a serious (hopefully enough to stop whatever attack I am under) event to protect me and anyone with me. It was recommended by the FFL and I accepted that. I have other hornady critical defense rounds and they all will do the job being asked of them (although I hope to never have to find out).

I have 2 pistols in 380 caliber and there is a lot of difference between them in what ammo feeds well and runs with no MALFUNCTIONS. Fortunately, they both guns run Hornady CD with zero problems. There are a lot of great brands of high quality CD ammo on the market, and I OCCASIONALLY shoot most of them, but I always use hornady as my carry ammo because it always work no matter which gun I have with me.

I carry either Critical Defense or Critical Duty in all of my pistols, because if I decide to carry one or the other I am comfortable with the ammo I carry. I've shot a few different things with this round and was impressed by the expansion and performance. Definitely recommend. I carry these in my concealed carry.

Bought the 90 grain in a 38 for my LCR, low recoil and easy to shoot. POI matches my POA every shot and didn't leave me hand sore afterward. Easy cleanup as well, definitely my preferred carry rounds for my snubbie.

Feeds my Walther PPK smoothly. No perceptible muzzle flash in low light conditions. Very little kick. Will buy again.

Accurate in my little Ruger LCP .380. Can hit 8.5 x 11" paper even at 25 yards with it. Other ammo is all over the place. Good defensive rounds.

Hornady's Critical Defense is the best buy in the field of defense ammunition. Shoots reliably with no failures in my Diamondback db380.

This ammo is the best .380 ACP I could find for super short barrel micro pistols like the Ruger LCP, S&W Body Guard, Sig Sauer P238, etc. Nothing else even comes close. We don't shoot Jell-O, or soda pop. I shoot dead cattle, sheep or other livestock, that has perished out in the desert. Then fun part, where we dig out the bullets and see what happened. Shipping was prompt and the packaging was good. Both the description and photos of this product said it was nickel plated, but I received brass only cartridges. So I removed a star. This may be a bigger deal breaker for others, but I’m not going to go through a return process over case platings. But if PSA wants to go ahead and send me what I specifically ordered, I’m all for it.
