1 year agoIn my Browning Hell's Canyon Long Range 7 mm Rem Mag rifle, this ammo consistently produced tighter groups (at 100, 200 and 400 yds) than any other ammo I purchased. The 162GR ELD-X bullet should pack the wallop necessary to drop an elk at both traditional (<400 yds) and extended (500+ yds) distances. Although it's not a cheap round to shoot at the range, GrabAGun offers it at a great price and ships unlimited quantities with a $12.99 flat rate.

1 year ago7 REM MAG 162GR. GOOD AMMO, AND A LITTLE BETTER THAN .7 MOA GROUPS AVERAGE out of my bergara. EXCELLENT TERMINAL PERFORMANCE ON LARGE game AT 2400 AND 2650 FPS. Mv had occasional deviation of 30+ fps from average but otherwise decent. I trust it out to my personal shooting distance limit on game of 600 yds.

1 year agoCloset you'll get without reloading! Have personally seen half inch groups out of a tikka t3x superlite with this ammo!

1 year agoShoots sub-moa in my Bergara. Killed a big buck with it last year and the bullet performed perfectly. Couldnt ask for better factory ammo.

1 year agoGreat round shoots very in my New beRgara rifLe We tried core lokt and nosler too The eldx from hornsdy had the most coNsistAnt muzzle velocity Once we sighted at 100 yards, i was able to hIt 400 yards every time. The only complaint is price and availability

1 year agoi USE THESE ON MY 15 YEAR OLDS GUN. wE ARE NOT BIG TIME SHOOTERS BUT WE LOVE TO HUNT. I ENJOY THE CONSISTENCEY I RECEIVE FROM THIS ROUND. VERY EFFECTIVE.

1 year agoThis round was very inconsistent in my rifle. 7 moa at 100 yards, the federal, HSM, and some Cheep fusion all shot 1 MOA or less but this one looked like I shot a shotgun at the target. I was questioning my self. But the stuff I shot before and after was on target. Could have been as simple as my barrel and the speed/twist, just doesn't like this round or their power was off from round to round (that would surprise me). Guns can be picky.

1 year agoI've bought more than a dozen boxes from my local Sportsmans stores in Rancho Cordova and Rocklin CA (before our lead ban) in various calibers 7mm rem mag, 308 win, 300 win mag and used most of them at the range while leaving just enough for my hunts. I can tell you that they shoot lights out in my Tikka's and Sako with light weight to standard hunting barrels . By far the most accurate and consistent factory hunting cartridges I have found, and I have spent way too much money buying every

1 year agoMy 1970 Remington 700 in 300 Win Mag loves this ammo. Repeatable accuracy with less than 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards. Have not tried them at 200 or 300 yards yet but based upon the 100 yard groups - it should be dandy!

1 year agoThis shoots .55" @ 100 through my Christensen Arms Mesa, though could have been lucky. Took a nice buck this year, and it dropped instantly @144 yards. Meat loss was rather significant around both shoulders and was only able to harvest a bit off the entry shoulder. Exit should was near obliterated. If you do your job, the bullet does it. This will be my go-to for my 7 mag.

1 year agoExceptional! 1/2” groups at 200 yards at the range out of my 7mm Cooper M92. I tried 5 brands of ammo and a couple although good not as accurate and consistent as Hornady. I only have 2 problems with it lately, can’t shoot lead in California and lately like all ammo hard to find. But, try the Hornady with their GMX copper bullet for California hunting. Same results! Deadly accurate and stops game in their tracks. 2 for 2 on muleys with the 139gr GMX Hornady load.

1 year agoThe Hornady Precision Hunter ammo is the only ammo I use in my hunting rifles. It shoots consistently and very accurate. I have a custom dialed in my scope to the ballistic attributes of this ammo; deadly accurate from 100 to 500 + yards out.

1 year agoI started using these about 5 years ago with a Tikka T3x. They can shoot 1/2” groups if I’m shooting well. I now use them in in a Tikka super-lite with similar accuracy. These bullets have performed perfectly on Moose, Canadian wolf, Stone sheep, mountain goat, and caribou. Distances from 80 - 400 yards. I’ve seen these bullets expand a lot when shooting at close ranges; with the speed of the bullet. 1 moose hit in both lungs from the side at 80 yards didn’t have a pass through, but he dropped
