Hornady American Gunner 90gr XTP 380 ACP Ammo, 25rds – 90104

It was very accurate but they jammed at least 1 time in every mag. full. 2 out of the box didn't fire with multiple drops of the striker. The primers were dented but did not fire.

I'm running these through an M&P Bodyguard. There was a sale sometime back so I ordered some to practice with and to carry. They've.always fed fired and ejected 100%. The Bodyguard is a light polymer chassis short barrel pistol that is known to get quite lively when burst firing. I get an impressive orange blast when low light firing these guys. My 380 is regarded as a hideout gun or even a belly gun. I have no real world data nor anecdotes concerning the 380 XTP but what I've seen online

After a ton of research and testing different ammo on my own that was readily available in local stores I have found the Hornady American gunner with the XTP bullets to have the most consistent expansion and penetration. The .380 is a tricky caliber to find a consistantly affective ammo for and I am confidently trusting my life to the American gunner line of ammunition.

Feeds and ejects well in both a Walther PPK/S 380 and a Smith & Wesson EZ M&P 380. This is what I keep loaded in both pistols. I use less expensive ammo for the range.
