I grew up in grand island where hornady ammo is made. Usually its great ammo but I had nothing but problems with this. The shells were expanding to much in my model 700 7mm rem mag. I couldnt get the action to open up after shooting. I switched ammo and had no more problems and we tried the ammo in a friends gun and he had the same problem.

An excellent bullet for whitetail deer. "One shot -One hit stopping power! - based on two "one shots" last year.

Very accurate bullet and do a great job on whitetails. I'm still trying other loads, but so far these have performed the best. They have the ballistics of way higher priced ammo.

These are by far the most accurate bullets I have used in my Ruger .300 Win Mag. When zeroed at 200 yards I am just a little low at 300 yards. I have killed many deer with these shells and have yet to lose one. I do wish the wound channel was a little better at longer distances, but most deer have dropped within 50 yards of being shot.

I was using my 45-70 with Hornady ammunition when the largest buck I have had the opportunity to shoot walked in to my plot. I waited until the buck was broadside and squeezed the trigger. I knew everything was right for me to have my first wall hanger. I got out of my stand and walked to where the deer was when I shot at it only to find no blood. After searching for the deer, I looked at my spent cartridge only to find a split in the side of the casing. This was a dangerous situation and could have resulted in damage to my rifle or injury to me personnally. Not to mention, I believe this resulted in me missing the opportunity of a lifetime. I contacted Hornady and sent back two boxes of the ammunition with the same lot number. They have not replaced the ammunition nor have I heard back from them.

TC Venture 7mm rem. mag, 3x9 Burris ballistic plex scope. Shot a very big Desert Mule deer in NM. @ 568 yards, with a dead right there shot, and a complete pass thru. Took out both lungs and nicked the heart.
BTW: A three shot group at the range from a bench, shot in at, 1.5 in high at 100 yds produced a single hole, just a little larger.
Hornady produces great ammo. My Venture loves the 154 grain SST and interbond ammo.
My rifle, scope and ammunition cost less than 600 bucks. I don't think hand loads or a custom made rifle will shoot any better, and my Tikka T3 .300 Win Mag loves Hornady 180 grain SST and interbond also.

I have bought about six boxes of this ammo for a browning bar 7mm rem mag in 139 grain. Brand new gun and scope. Was convinced when I couldn't get them to group that it had to be my leupold scope. Sold it and bought a nikkon. Went back out to the range today with the same ammo, could not do better than a four inch group at 100 yards, shooting from a lead sled. Luckily this time I brought other brands of ammo to try. Ended up shooting better than a one inch group with winchester super x 150 grain. Could not be more upset with hornady ammo, especially when you consider the money they want for it.

Shot a coyote at over 400 yards with the 243 Win 95 grain SST. Down and Dead!. The 30-06 Springfield 180 Grain SST rolled a deer at 75 yards.

Remington 700 30-06 + 165 Grain SST= Accurate, Deadly, Dependable. At 100 yards grouped at 1". At 200 yards, about 1 3/4". Very stable ammo

My Savage loves the 130 grain Hornady loads. Does a great job on deer here in NC. It is pin point accurate and I love the extra velocity you get over other loads.

I shoot a TC Encore with a 300 Win Mag barrel and a muzzle break. This ammo screams out of this gun and is the most accurate ammo I have found to date. The side of the box tells you exactly the bullet drop when zero at 200yds and it is completely dead on accurate. This ammo at 200 yds. is consistently touching. I can't wait to see what is does on an Elk this year.

I find the ammo to be very accurate at all ranges from the bench. However, the jackets are too thick for whitetail deer. They punch clean holes through the animals with very little tissue damage. This may be desireable for elk but,I don't expect to have to blood trail double lung shot deer. I would suggest Nosler ballistic tips for long range set ups and Remington core-lokt for short to medium ranges. These will drop them in their tracks.

I've used this ammo for a few years with my 7mm-08 139 grain on whitetail. It is a deadly cartridge. Fast, accurate, and does serious damage. I've never had to track a deer past 30 yards, most have dropped where they stood.

Ammo came in in a reasonable time. I bought the 6.5 Grendel ammo for a new build I just finished today. If it shoots as well as its reputation i will call it a 5 Star.
