You can not find brass for reloading the 6mm ARC, therefore there is only one way to get brass from one source. Hornady developed the 6mm ARC and is the only manufacturer to supply ammunition. Fortunately it is good ammunition. I have found it to shoot MOA or less with three different barrels. Buying factory ammunition is the only way I can get brass for reloading. I know that you can reform 6.5 Grendel brass to fire in a 6mm ARC chamber. I don’t want to do this because I have both 6.5 … Read More

I was surprised to find 31 grains of powder in the cartridge also it appeared to be a compressed load. If you look in the load data for the gas gun cartridge I don't see 31 grains at all in the data. The box of cartridges varied about 50 fps from Labradar.

It shot decent but had mixed brass. 2 out of the 20 were 6.5 Grendel brass. Measured everything and determined it was in fact 6 arc. There was about a 15 fps difference between the 6 arc and 6.5 Grendel brass but it shot.

The 6mm ARC, much like Rodney Dangerfield “gets no respect!” This is an amazing cartridge with outstanding range on pronghorn and deer. The Hornady 108gr ELD match is an outstanding PRS cartridge and an excellent training round prepping for the hunt using the Hornady 103gr ELD-X. Sadly locating brass, cases or loaded 6mm ARC ammo is tuff. Thanks for the occasional in stock supply…

I shot consistent 0.75” groups at 100 yards out of a brand new Savage 110. I am really hoping 6mm ARC becomes more popular and the prices come down

I was concerned I made a mistake in beginning a 6mm ARC Build: concerned no longer! 6mm ARC lives up to Hornady’s Marketing Claims.

This is nice ammo!! I have a 20” barrel and rifle+1” gas system. This shoots a little smaller than 1 MOA for me and the action cycles percectly. Very happy. Only request for Hornady would be for 50 and 100 round boxes :-). It’s such an easy round to shoot - Low recoil and the rifle doesnt over heat so it’s easy to go though this stuff quickly!!

I've only taken it to 800yds so far. But, this round has been really nice in my rifle. Accurate, reliable and very little kick. Seems to be gaining in popularity, and with the shortages, it can be very hard to find.

You don't have much selection for factory ammo in 6mm ARC. Sportsman's had it on sale for $28 or $1.40 per round. If you add the cost of components currently in 2023, this price is a deal. That's if you can even find new brass. Brass: $0.90 + Bullet: $0.47 + Primer: $0.07 + Powder: $0.16 Total: $1.60 The rounds from Lot #3232004 had a COAL of 2.255. I pulled the ELD-M bullets and found the powder charge to be 29.3 gr of unknown ball powder. Measurement of the brass with a Hornady Headspace comparator was 1.184

I couldn’t give it 5 stars as I haven’t used this ammo yet. I purchased it to have when I receive the 6 mm ARC barrel and complete building the AR-15 for it. I just wanted the ammo to have while I could still buy it and when it’s available to buy. I’ve purchased and used Hornady ammo for other calibers that I use. The ammo was always reliable and accurate.

This is a great cartridge, accurate and as advertised low recoil. I am not so surprised by naysayers stating "why another?" I own rifles in 12 different calibers, some popular a few wildcats a couple of letdowns. That is the enjoyment of the shooting sports. I still have letters when my father corresponded with Elmer Keith with great interest on the development of the 44 magnum, and yes the naysayers were busy back then also. If you are interested in new worthwhile developments in the
