No issues with these slugs. A little pricey for zeroing in new optics, but industry-standard price for this product. Can't wait to use on a white-tail.

I have used these SST Slugs for year now, they are amazing. With a Rifled Barrel these things are solid out to 150 plus yards, with plenty of Speed and knockdown power. We hunt in Ohio and field shots of 150 to 200 are possible with this load.

I use this primarily for sighting in and backup ammo. I love found it to be consistent and dependable. Not my first choice for white tail hunting but I know several other guys who use it every year.

I have been shooting these slugs in my Mossberg 835 w/ rifled barrel for almost 20 years. They will hold 2" at 100 yards and I have a confirmed kill on a whitetail doe at 165 yards. They do not shoot accurately in all guns - you have to find what your gun likes. I am good with these.

Great slugs a bit pricey but fun to shoot! But the price is up there, but still cheaper the 9mm ammo.

I have been using the Hornady's for 10 years in a Remington 870. Very satisfied with the shot group at 60 yds.

Massive shortages everywhere right before deer season, Cabelas had what I needed to get me out in the woods! I didn't get a deer but I didn't have to cancel 4 days of vacation. That to me is a win!

I just bought 8 boxes of these pieces of crap. I went to sight them in and was getting 10” groups at 25 yards. So I changed the scope same thing. Then went with the iron sights same problem. Shooting a brand new 870 riffled barrel with two well named scopes from a Caldwell lead sled. Second time hornady ammo has let me down. It won’t do it again though. Also wouldn’t eject well after you shot them.

This sabot works the best in my Mossberg 930 with a rifled slug barrel. I've tried several brands and this sabot works the best.

I have used these since they came out for deer hunting in IL. Never had to track one. Most dropped in their tracks.

I had shot the 12ga. SST slugs for 6 seasons (2014-2020) when I hunted in the slug zone in Minnesota and had great groups, sub 2” groups at 50 yards and 2-3” groups at 100 yards. I recently bought 7 boxes of the SST slips, as I was going to potentially hunt a slug zone again. Unfortunately, when at the range, it was absolutely impossible to sight in these slugs—and I was shooting at only 50 yards! My dad had the same issue as well. No consistency…the shots would fly everywhere. We literally couldn’t adjust our scopes, as no two shots would hit the same place. I eventually gave up because I couldn’t couldn’t dial any shots in. I’m sure some of you are thinking that I maybe wasn’t squeezing the trigger or was flinching, but I sighted my 30-06 in the same day and had 1” grouping at 100 yards…so it definitely wasn’t me. We were using the same guns as we did in the last, and we don’t use cheap setups, either; both of us use Remington Wingmaster 870s (not the express) with Remington rifled barrels, as well as Nikon Prostaff Slug Hunter scopes. I attached the pictures of my targets from that day. While these were once excellent slugs, something changed at the factory that made these absolutely horrible. I since tried both Lightfield slugs and Remington Accutips, which performed excellent. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these slugs if you want consistent, tight grouping! For the images, the dirty bird target was the SST slugs at 50 yards, and the shoot-n-see target was my 30-06 at 100 yards, so it definitely wasn’t user error!

I had been using this 12 gauge SST slugs from 2012 - 2020 and was always able to easily shoot a 2" group @ 50 yards. In 2020 I purchased 10 boxes but didn't shoot any until last year (2021 season). I could not get a 12" group @ 50 yards. I went through 8 boxes and stopped shooting thinking my scope had failed. Luckily I shot a nice 10 point bowhunting so I didn't need to hunt with them. This year I purchased 12 more boxes and planned on replacing my scope that I thought had failed. I brought the shotgun to my gunsmith and he told me the scope was fine and it must have been a bad batch of ammo. Well guess what? It wasn't just that year of bad ammo it's this year as well! I shot 3 boxes and same results a 12-14" group. I will never buy this crap again and now have 12 boxes of garbage. I'm sticking with Remington Accu-tips from now on they are expensive but very accurate!

If you want more shot distance and a very accurate sabot slug. Pair the 20ga. SST’s with a rifled slug barrel and you will be amazed!

I tried these last fall using a Mossberg 500 with the slug barrel. Plain slugs were not consistent, and I wanted something I could trust for deer. Late in the season I got a shot at a doe, about 40-50 yards away. The Hornady slug hit exactly where I aimed, and the deer dropped within 20 yards of impact. I butchered it myself, and saw the internal damage done. These slugs are a little pricey per shot, but being able to make a quick, clean kill when it counts is well worth it!

I had been using SST slugs for years, they were the most accurate ones I tested. Now at 40 yards I have a spread of 10 inches. I then tried some rifled slugs and had 2 inch spread at the same distance. I think maybe the sabots didn't fall off due to cold weather.

I bought 15 shot shell cartridges, 20 gauge saboted slugs, for $56, $2.80 a round. I hope my bore sighting is close. No one else carried them until Bass Pro had a sale and then only for 12 gauge. If someone hadn't given me me a $1,000 Browning slug gun I would have stayed with my Ithaca Deer Slayer slug gun despite recoil like a chiropractor visit. I applaud Bass Pro for carrying what no one else did and paying for the shipping, but when things are scarce do you have to take advantage?

Great shells when hunting with my Mossberg 500 with the rifled barrel. Accurate every shot with consistent grouping.

Good buy and accurate 3” groups at 100 yds. Remington 870 Hastings barrel. Vortex crossfire 2-7x30. Should get the job done on Maryland Whitetail

First time using a slug with a new Savage shotgun with a rifles barrel. Read a lot re: rifled barrel and shabot rounds. Was extremely pleased with the accuracy of both. Was able to get a 2” grouping at 100 yards. Proof is in the pudding. Put the cross hairs on my cow elk at 50 yards. Slug entered exactly where I had it aimed and dropper her flat. One shot kill.
