Wanted to try HSM ammo in my rifle since they use Berger bullets. Bought a few boxes and headed to the range.
Every round in all three boxes was majorly discolored. Some rounds shot well and were accurate. Some rounds would neither load nor allow unloading without considerable physical effort. When finally loaded, those rounds would be all over the place. Using a chronograph, the velocity variance was 153 FPS.
I'm happy that HSM ammo works great for other people's rifles but for the one I tried it on, it was a complete waste of money.

The bullet itself is more slender at from the tip to the rear. Mostly jammed with the first round, but occasionally after 2nd round. Tried loading one round only, but same thing. Tried everything, but same results. The M&P is an older design but the Ruger is a rather newer design, but still jammed. Very expensive ammo for that to happen.
