The .22 target pistol market needed an update, so Kel-Tec answered the call with the CP33. CP stands for Competition Pistol and 33, well… it holds a staggering 33 rounds in each magazine, right out of the box.

2 years agoIt’s a nice gun but if i had known how hard it would be to load the mags I wouldn’t have bought it . Bought extra mags that arent clear so for me they are worthless and impossible to load .

2 years agoAccurate right out of the box with a very good trigger. Looking to add to the picatinny rail soon. Fun shooting!

2 years agoI wanted to write this review because getting a new gun that jammed no matter what I did really pissed me off. To Keltec's credit they turned it around and got it back to me working perfect. Love the gun now. Shoots great and love the feel / balance. Would have giving a 5 star except the disappointment of it not working on arrival.

2 years agoThe only issue that I have had with it is that the magazines MUST be loaded a certain way. Read the instructions in the owners manual. If you get a speed loader, it will do the loading correctly. It is one long pic rail, so there are a lot of options for upgrades

2 years agoHad the same feeding issues as the other guy, but only with Remington Thunderbolts. Would hang up every 3rd or 4th shot. Took it home and cleaned it thoroughly. The next range time I used Winchester white box and Federal target. Ran 100% with no problems. Probably put a little less than 500 rounds through it now before range closed from corona. Put the brace on it and suppressed it. Now it's a fun gun to shot cheap. I would definitely suggest you buy the speed loader and a couple of extra mags. The loader is a miracle. Take care and GOD Bless through this trying time.

2 years agoI ran at least 8 full magazines through mine in the first outing without a single jamb or miss feed. All with 40 grain bullets like the owner’s manual said. I did try to load some 36 grain afterwards and they jammed up quickly. I also purchased the speed loader made specifically for the CP33 (from another website) and that makes ALL the difference for quick easy reloads. The gun is so much fun to shoot, fantastic sights and super smooth trigger.

2 years agoThis pistol is picky when it comes to ammo. For the price it should shoot anything! In fact any quality firearm should eat whatever it's fed. Mine will shoot remington thunderbolt ammo all day long with zero problems/stoppages. Anything else is just $hit in this piece of junk. I have no problem loading the mags by hand with thunderbolt ammo. Any other ammo and you can forget about loading the mags period. Pistol is very accurate and handles well. I give 1 star because only an idiot would design a pistol that is so ammo sensitive. What a piece of crap!

2 years agoI've put 36 & 40 grain rounds through it, no issues. Multiple brands of ammo in one mag, empty the mag, no issues. If you have feeding issues, its probably going to be the way you loaded it. Keltec says there is specific way the rounds need to be oriented in the mag for it to feed properly & states this in the owners manual. Its not complicated, not even an extra step you need to take, just something to verify as you load the mag. I haven't had any jams, any defects, loose screws, nothing. It

2 years agoLove kel-tec products, just have an issue with the mag. release at the end / bottom of the grip as in more than one occasion the mag gets accidentally released "not good", some time's there is no need to try and reinvent sliced bread..

2 years agoLove it! My favorite gun of many to shoot. 2 bucks a clip and equipped with a suppressor it's a blast! Get a Nest loader. 2 minutes to push 33 rounds into the clip and seconds to fire.

2 years agoIt's nicely balanced. fun to shoot. Surprisingly accurate. Loading the magazine takes while. Spend the money and buy a speed loader. Put a holo site on it made it a lot of fun..

2 years agoThis gun is a very accurate .22 pistol. The problem is the magazines. If you buy this gun you definitely need the speed loader, the mags are horrible to load. In addition, they are not well made. I've taken this gun out to shoot 3 times and one of the mags is now broken. To top it off they run around $50 for a new one. When the mags are loaded and it comes time to shoot it is a lot of fun. My wife loves to rapid-fire 30 rounds at a time, but she just hands me the mags because she refuses

2 years agoI guess it will be ok... When I use it. Cause I NEVA did get the two magazines that was suppose to come with it... So I got to order one separate..

2 years agoStill in the box never got to shoot it yet then down with a colds What are your days I’ll get to shoot it need to speed loader and magazines

2 years agoGreat price and fast shipping. The pistol is quite picky with ammo. Be sure to only use 40 grain and higher.

2 years ago80% or more feed failure. NOT HAPPY with this POS. Hope yours does much Better. The Plastic Mags are a pain in the Anus to load with out a speed loader, VERT CHEAPLY made TOY. I've watched video's and saw people rave over this, I must have got the lemon and there is enough sugar to make this sweet. ROLL the DICE yours might be a KEEPER

1 year agoStarting with a fully stacked magazine is a booger. Once the first round is in the pipe it runs fine. Balanced feel, smooth trigger, great sighs. I my need to buy another my son has fallen in love with it.

1 year agoFun range toy as most .22lr’s. But loading the mags correctly the right ammo choice will save a lot of failure to feed. I’ve had best luck with CCI 40g round tip.
