Kimber builds the world’s finest 1911 pistols right here in America—something that makes sense, as few things are as American as a 1911. Virtually every critical component of every pistol is manufactured inside the Kimber factory. The finest raw materials come through the front gate and Kimber does the rest, the only way to ensure that every part meets unequaled standards.

America’s best shooters keep choosing Kimber. Legendary LAPD™ SWAT tested five major 1911 brands and chose Kimber. United States Marines assigned to Special Operations Command chose Kimber. The U.S.A. Shooting Rapid Fire Pistol Team trains for Olympic competition with a Kimber. Most recently, LAPD™ SIS transitioned to Kimber. They all chose Kimber for the same reason: quality, dependability and accuracy. So should you

I own three other 1911s and was a bit reluctant to buy the Kimber due to a lot of negative I was hearing about quality control. Interestingly, as I did a little research, I found overwhelming positive reviews from Kimber owners. I bought the Custom II at a great price and took it and 100 rounds of inexpensive ammo to the range expecting that it would need a good break in period. To my surprise, I as getting sub 3” groups at 10 yards shooting freehand, pretty good groups for me. If this tightens up as the gun has more rounds through it, I will be elated. Additionally, I experienced no feeding nor ejection issues using four different brands of magazines. My only complaint is that Kimber should include more than one magazine with the firearm.

After much research I went with this Kimber instead of the other 2 other manufacturers 1911s I was looking into. I have shot many different types and makes of firearms and although I was expecting good things from Kimber I was still surprised by how nice this shoots, this means how easy it is to get a good grouping and how easy it is to strip, clean and re-assemble. A most excellent value for the cost.

I have not owned this pistol for too long. Put about 250 rounds through it so far in 2 weeks. I had 2 FTLs but ultimately fired every round. I replaced the factory rosewood grips and I’m totally happy with my overall look, feel and performance!

This is the second Kimber I purchased from Bass Pro and I am extremely happy with the guns and Bass Pro specialist who assisted me including the store management at your Daytona store.

I was surprised at how quickly the order came in to the Albuquerque store, considering the current challenges with stocking and order shipping. Store personnel were very helpful and considerate, which was very much appreciated.

Worth the price, shot 250 rounds of cheap Win Whitebox to break it in expecting some FTE's; no problems. Mainspring housing is plastic, replaced it with a stainless Hogue. No need for the speed bump, the standard grip safety activates at 1/4” press. $100 less than the SA Range Officer and just as nice.

As far as 1911's go, this pistol is well above mid-range in terms of quality in the fit and finish. I was disappointed to find only one magazine included, but pleasantly surprised to find that Kimber had up-graded the sights to very well-made but simple 3-dot Novak type sights. It takes a while to remove the factory grease and get the weapon in shape for shooting, but as you would expect, the pistol shoots well, and does not seem to be a picky eater when it comes to ammo. It's not a Colt, nor … Read More

I love the 1911 frame, and this gun delivers in a whole different chamber. Kimber is a solid choice, every time.

Kimber II 10 mm I bought from Guns.com was absoultely filthy when it arrived. Still had factory plastic on Spring guide rod which tells me the gun had never been cleaned and could not be taken apart. The previous owner tried to take apart because of the Newbie scratches on Kimber. I assume previous owner could not take gun apart so he sold it.
