1 year agoThis is my third hand gun purchasing from BassPro. I really enjoyed previous purchasing experiences. But this time, I need to seriously considered about should I buy my next gun from here? Look at my picture, it is a new gun! it is a new gun! It cost me $1300 dollars!!!!!! The whole internal looks awful when I trying to apply gun oil to it. It took me an hour to do the cleaning, please explain to me why a new gun should look like this. It seems like pre-owned and shot 500 rounds without any cleaning. Back to the topic it is a good 1911 from Kimber with very good build quality. If you want one, do the online order pick-up! Do not purchase any of there in-stock stuff. But I warn you BassPro! If you keep on sell stuff like this I won't back again.

1 year agoI bought this pistol 6 months ago (.45 ACP) and I have put 1,100 rounds through it. I just love the feel this full size 1911. Recoil is not bad because of the weight, and it is very accurate. I have used ball and flat nose rounds and as long as you do not "limp wrist" this firearm, it is a very good runner. Excellent quality and an awesome firearm.

1 year agoHad to sell it. Kept jamming non stop. It would be so embarrassing when I lent it to my grandpa to shoot it and it jammed 3 times before he finished. All fmj and before you say I don’t own firearms I regularly clean and maintain 14 that I already own. I know how to lubricate a guns.

1 year agoI purchased, a few pistols, over the last year it do, and the limber raptor 2, turned out to be an exceptionally fine pistol. With no after market upgrades, as if it would need them, and no sight adjustment, I was shooting groups within a two inch circumference. The grips are the finest, on any firearm I’d ever shot, and the mass, reduced recoil, so much so, that it took little effort to zero in on my targets. Oh, by the way, I’d been shooting, 9mm semiautos, for the better part of four decades, and this was my first. 45, I’d ever owned. Thank you, KIMBER,

1 year agoGreat firearm. I was shocked to be able to get one so fast. Bass Pro Shop is GREAT and handled quickly.

1 year agoFor the price and the fact it says “custom shop” on the slide, I expected better. The silly series 80 safety pin was not recessing into the frame automatically, trigger was a little gritty (certainly nothing a “custom shop” actually took time to smooth out), trigger reset was a little gritty. I took everything apart, polished all the internals, installed an egw hard sear, egw sear spring, and 19lbs mainspring and the trigger came down to just over 3lbs from just under 5lbs and is now silky smooth. Runs various 230gr and 200gr loads great. The gun does handle very nicely and it’s a looker for sure. It recoils right back on target and the barrel is definitely accurate. I’d hoped the grips would be a little more aggressive but I’ve replaced those as well. Sights are nice if you’re into Night sights. I replaced the front with fiber optic and it makes front sight acquisition SIGNIFICANTLY faster. Added a Chen magwell also. All in all, it’s “OK” but at its price point should be better. I’d rank it with other cheaper models closer to 1K. Now that I’ve put $300 into it it’s fantastic, but that can be said for most any 1911 I suppose.
