2 years agoI was worried when I first bought this ammo due to the mixed reviews online. But after 150 rounds, this stuff shot nice. No issues what so ever.

2 years agoFirst of all let me say that I am very happy with everything that we have purchased from Palmetto including uppers lowers different parts tools and thousands of rounds of ammo. They ship in a timely manner and the quality is outstanding. That being said I felt the need to warn everyone NOT TO BUY this MaxxTech 9mm ammo!! If you're like us you hop from site to site in search of great deals and when you see it you jump on it right? My son in law found this great deal and purchased a ton of it

2 years agoI bought 1000 rounds and have had nothing but problems using it. My Sphinx will not eject the fired case every time but worse the slide will lock up this is the first time for this firearm to act up. I tried it in my Remington R-51 had the same problems but also had failure to close. The one thing that was noticeable with the rounds is they are quit a bit shorter than some Remington rounds I had don't know if that means anything.I have always been very satisfied with Palmetto and this has not changed anything.

2 years agoIn less than 50 rounds, had a case get lodged in the breach of my Sig P229 so severely that it took a local gunsmith to get it out. He then measured a number of of the remaining Maxxtech rounds i had on hand with calipers and said many were severely out of spec.

2 years agoBought a few boxes in the last month to shoot with my SIG P226, had to try it out at their price point. Not sure if they made any changes since the 2016 comments below but I haven't experienced any of those issues so far. Definitely will try this stuff out again.

2 years agoI don’t know how anyone can complain about this ammo vs other 9mm ammo. I’ve shot over 1000 rounds of this ammo and never had a single issue.

2 years agoI just bought some and haven't received it yet but by reading some of the reviews I think that some guns won't cycle this particular load. I'm only giving it a 3 star rating and might change it later.

2 years agoAlways a pleasure buying ammo from Palmetto and not being price gouged like many other net merchants.

2 years agoThese would feed but when I needed to drop my magazine and clear during competition, the slide would not budge so I couldn't clear the chamber. Had to fire the chambered round into the berm to clear it. This happened twice before I switched ammo. Okay for plinking I guess, but when I took a close look at them later I noticed all the Maxxtech rounds were slightly shorter than both the Magtech and CCI Blazer I used for comparison. Will avoid these in the future.

2 years agoI've read from some that this ammunition is problematic and dirty. I'm assuming they may have used something else, because I've had no issues with this brand thus far. Maxxtech has been very functional and consistent at the range like it should be for a full metal jacket round. With the high cost and lack of availability of pistol ammo at the moment, the lower cost of this type helps ease the expense shock a bit if you can find it before it's gone.

2 years agoHonestly after all the bad reviews I read I was a bit worried about this ammo but it functioned flawlessly in my Ruger Security-9 and in my Walther PPS M2. It's definitely not the cleanest ammo, but I clean my guns after every use so it doesn't bother me much. Hard to find a good deal on ammo these days so if you get a decent price this ammo works well for the range.

2 years agoI ordered 3 boxes, and only received 2. Customer service took care of this promptly and issued a credit. As far as the Maxxtech ammo, it shoots very well in all of my 9mm's.

2 years agoGreat weapon , good feel, love the trigger pull, very accurate with minimal kick. Love the Romeo1Pro, great for picking up next target quickly

2 years agoThis stuff was great. Was skeptical at first since I have tended to use one brand for ever. But now, I use it quite often in my range work. Try it. I think you'll like it.

2 years agoNot the cleanest ammo but ran about 200 rounds through a PCC and 100 rounds through a CZ Shadow 2 with no problems.

2 years agoI think this ammo has improved in the last few years. I tried it in 2016 and had several fail to fire or eject from 1 box. This time I bought 5 boxes and they all worked perfectly at the range out of 2 pistols and one rifle. I would buy it again when prices are lower.

2 years agoNot sure how this stuff got so many stars. Its junk ammo. It is made under low pressure with thin brass. The rounds are so weak the cartridge barely ejects from the chamber.

2 years agoQuick checkout and item received in 2 days. Shared the experience with a friend, he purchased and received the same service.

2 years agoThis ammunition would not cycle reliably in my Springfield RO Target 1911. I experienced frequent jams and had to switch to a domestic ammunition in order to continue target shooting with that firearm. The Maxxtech ammo did cycle without issue in my Sig P938, however.

2 years agoGreat service. Nice to deal with, they keep you well informed as to where your order is and arrival time. I definitely recommend this company. The product was packaged much better than I have received from other vendors. This is now my go to store.
