Mossberg Maverick 88 – Security with Top-Folding Stock – 6 Shot 12 Gauge Pump-Action Shotgun, Black – 31027

Can be a little difficult to resemble after cleaning. The front sight is useless (tiny brass sight)... but overall this is a great gun for its price point! Never malfunctioned once in anyway!

Really great gun for the price. Sturdy and well made. Love the ATI folding stock. I added a shell holder to it and now it looks identical to the one in 'The Sarah Connor Chronicles' Terminator shotgun.

It looks great, but I wish I would of went with the 500. Right out of the box I was not able to load it or rack the slide. I used Mossbergs Tech support. After a lengthy call and disassemble they said to send it in wait or 6 to 10 week turnaround time. No doubt it is a good gun. Just my luck to get a dud. I am a 5'5" 145 Lbs the stalk is very long for me and feels uncomfortable on the cheek without shooting it. I hope It comes back soon.

Given this is my first shotgun in 20 years, I forgot how much fun these could be. The price is insanely low, the fun is insanely high. Worth way more than I paid, this powerhouse of home defense and target shooting is by far the most economical add to my collection.

Nice first shotgun for myself! Haven't fired it yet but am confident that it'll perform as expected. My only complaint is the preformed stock has some sharp edges from the cast seams. A little emery cloth took care of that. I'm happy with my purchase!

Great first shotgun for home defense. The folding sTock looks awesome. However, it is hard to open without pinching Your fInger on the button. Also it does fUnction, but is a hard plastic with no cushion. You feel it. After firing a few rounds i decided to sitch the Folding stock and handle and went with a hogue rubberized grip for better recoil control

I’ve always wanted a shorter shotgun for home defense, this one is perfect for that or fun at the range. The other Mossberg firearms I own have been very reliable and this one does not appear any different.

Great shotgun, great value, the only complaint is that the stock is a little sharp on the trigger hand. Some tape will help. Price is right!

Great budget home defense shotgun. The folding stock is excellent for saving space and can turn into a full stock in seconds.

Love this shotgun because you can shot from the hip or your shoulder makes good home defense .when I was doing my paperwork in the store someone ask do they have another one I told them I had to order it very nice

Good shotgun on a budget. The folding stock is like adding 89 dollar value!! Thats like 110 for a good quality shotgun whats not too like. Get em while there here or else pay alot more in future for these features. Thanks palmetto you rock

Good for the $$, especially w folding stock. Kind of sensitive when dropped. Had to be disassembled to get to function again, but overall, excellent for its purpose

For the money its an awesome shotgun!! It has some kick to it but that just lets ya know your alive. It cycles good and would recommend to anyone.

The only reason not a 5 star is need to wear a glove when shooting. The folding stock has a fairly rough edge that rubs when shooting.

Works good, Ran 00 buck, 8 low base and 8 high base bird shot fine... Very compact for easy storage and handling.

The only issue I had was the mold lines on the folding stock. They're very sharp and scratch the upper thumb when shot with the stock unfolded. The shape of the stock lays on top of the thumb area by (bad) design but wouldn't be so bad if it didn't scratch the way it does. I'll be sanding or filing it down and hope that helps. Other than that, this is a great convertible boomstick! It cycles flawlessly with ease. After a few upgrades, it looks even better. Whatever the reason, get yourself one.
