Mossberg Patriot Predator 22-250 Rem, 22" Threaded Barrel, TrueTimber Strata Stock, Brown, 5rd

I cleaned the gun and bolt then oiled everything I had a hard time putting the bolt in the gun after I got it in I worked it 3-4 times and the bolt came apart foreign pin fell out that should of never happened so I have to pay to get the bolt put back together that’s not right I just hope I don’t have to send the gun and all back to get fixed like I had to do with my tiger 450.

Bought the Patriot in .308 for elk hunting. Good rifle, reasonably light but sturdy, surprisingly accurate for a $400 rifle with a 22" barrel. We have a .243 wood stock patriot with vortex scope , and my son killed his first deer at 75 yards with it. Not a bad package for a budget bolt action. Fluted bolt, fluted barrel and wood stock. Trigger is good, action is ok, fit and finish isnt the best. Don't expect a Sako and I think you'll be happy. I would choose this over a Ruger American or a Savage Axis in this price range.

Mounted my scope and was able to consistently hit the target with nice groups. Shot out to 100 yards and was pleased with the results.

1st thing I did was lighten my trigger to 2lb. Then I glass bedded the metal free float insert to the plastic stock. I reload and stuck the bullet out as far as I could for the magazine. There is a lot of free bore in chamber. I did manage to sub MOA

So far the only ammo I have was Winchester Deer Season 150 Grain. My best group at 100 yds was 5 inches. I expected much better. The scope included was worthless so I used a Leopold 3x9 VariXII. I shot from a dead rest so it was either the gun or the ammo. I will try other ammo when I can get some.

I haven't been to the range with the rifle yet but it looks and feels good .I mounted a scope on it and am ready to try it .

I am enjoying this rifle so much, nice look very accurate and well balanced. This rifle with the right scope is a good addition to any collection. I very highly recommend it.
