2 years agoI did some research before buying this gun. Everyone seemed to like it so I bought it from Cabela’s. I’m going moose hunting. I’m mounting a Leupold scope on it. I’ll fill the freezer with moose meat. I’ll shoot Hornady Eldx bullets

2 years agoI picked up this rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor a few weeks ago and mounted a leupold 3-9x40 on it as well as a harris bipod. The rifle itself is super light and the free float barrel is great. First time out at the range I was hitting super tight groups at 200m out to 500m. Trigger is crisp and the lightning trigger feels good. The bolt is smooth but has some wobble to it (its no mauser). The magazine feels a little cheap but ive had no issues with it feeding and was making relatively quick reloads with not issues seating the magazine. I've also ordered a muzzle brake as it does get a little jumpy being a lighter rifle. I'm extremely happy with this purchase and for a lower cost rifle it is an absolute tack driver!

2 years agoLight weight, affordable, highly accurate and a lot of fun to use. Added a muzzle break, Banner scope and a bi pod and this rifle never misses a beat!

2 years agoWas very pleasantly surprised by how well this thing shoots. Only downside is the twist rate in 6.5cm it prefers the lighter bullets

2 years agoI got this gun in .308 it looks and feels great. I cannot get this gun to shoot accurate at all at 100 yards. Very poor groupings. I’ve tried 6 different types of ammo both at 150 and 180 grain. Time to buy a savage.

2 years agoI bought this gun in the spring. Put an old Bushnell 3x9x56 ml scope on it that I had lying around. Normally I reload myself, but bought a couple of boxes of Hornady ELDX 143 grains to try it out. The gun shoots a consistent 3/4 inch groups at 100 yards. I was very impressed with the guns performance. I would recommend this gun.

2 years agoGot this gun to replace my savage 111 and is a great gun. Put about a box through it and felt great can’t wait to use it this year for deer. Would highly recommend it. Mine is topped with a vortex diamondback 4-12x40

2 years agoI'm a lefty, but this rifle is comfortable and easy to shoot. Tight groups at 100 yds. It's handsome. I'm glad I bought it, because it works better than my .308 Savage with Accu-trigger. The bolt functions more smoothly and there have been no feeding problems from the magazine. This is my second new Mossberg and I'll probably buy another one in the Fall.
