Tough As Nails
1 year agoEveryone has an opinion on a hunting rifle of what works for them. The Mossberg Patriot has performed well for this Wyoming resident. I have scored on both antelope and deer with the 25 - 06, without issues. Working with reloads, groups have been under MOA at 100 yards. Over the years I have owned hunting rifles in Winchester Model 70, Remington Model 700, Ruger Model 77, Howa Model 1500, Tikka T3, Springfield , Browning, etc. My opinion of the Patriot is it is an underrated field rifle for

1 year agoI have always been a Leopold and Swarovski optics guy so I was somewhat skeptical of the scope. I have since purchased a Vortex 50x spotter and a pair of Vortex Diamondback binos based on last seasons performance in the field. I love the set-up. I bought the combo in .300 win Mag. I seasoned the barrel at the range and found this fluted barrel to hold sub MOA groups on par with my Browning A Bolt and X Bolt. I don't need any more rifles but if I did I would save a few dollars and go with this set up again. I took an Antelope, Elk and a Mule Dear last season with this sweet rifle.

1 year agoThe purchase process with Sportsman’s Warehouse was a great kick off to my experience with the Patriot (chambered in .243). The staff at Sportsman’s was knowledgeable and expeditious. They made sure I was in and out of the store in the most efficient way possible. The Mossberg Patriot is a great rifle, light, accurate and reliable! I bought it to be my sons first rifle for big game hunting and it’s turning out to be the perfect choice!
