Introducing our latest innovation for this year – the ECO Speed-22, a lead-free marvel boasting a muzzle velocity that surpasses all competitors in the market. This cartridge stands out for being 100% lead-free, including the primer, making it truly unique.
The decision to use unleaded primers was driven by a crucial concern for your well-being. For avid semi-auto shooters, harmful lead particles can disperse into the air you breathe, posing potential risks to your internal organs. With ECO Speed-22, we prioritize both performance and safety, ensuring you can enjoy your shooting experience while safeguarding your health.

2 years agoThis round wouldn't cycle through either of my savage or marlin .22's. I haven't tried it in my ruger yet; however, so far the accuracy was not impressive. There were several rounds where the primer didn't work at all, and others where the shots were abnormally quite, so the bullet didn't even hit the paper (not sure if it was the primer or powder that didn't fully ignite). I really want to like it, since I see a need for more lead free .22 options for small game hunting, but this just was not impressive. I really like the fact that it is lead-free, but I don't think I would buy it again.

2 years agoI ordered 2 boxes of these and they showed up open and with some rounds rolling loose in the box. I’m not sure that had anything to do with it, but this ammo did not do well at the range. I put it through a pistol, a rifle and different magazines. There were feeding and extraction issues with every magazine. I still have one of the boxes, so hopefully that one will do better. Comparing it to the usual CCI stuff, I’ll have a pretty hard time picking up any more of this stuff.

2 years agoDon’t cycle well at all in 1.0-22 or Rossi semiautomatic. Obviously work in lever action or bolt action and make a mess of a squirrel. Not particularly accurate. The regular Norma 22 $4.99 a box is outstanding for accuracy and consistency, definitely get that for small game. This stuff is not great.

2 years agoI like Norma. I love that they are creating new stuff for the 22lr. They just weren't accurate in my MarkII.

2 years agoAmmo ran great in my firefly. I got a consistent 1430-1450fps. Out of a 5" barrel I'm pretty happy with that speed. Good clean burning powder with a lil excess wax on the head but nothing too bad!

2 years agoSorry but I haven’t had a chance to try this ammo yet. I’ll update as soon as I can. Always a great price and shipping from PSA.

2 years agoSeems like good stuff, fired it through my CP33 and my bolt action, functioned/cycled fine in both and was accurate within 50 yards. My only complaint is that the wax coating on the casing and bullet is extremely slick, which makes loading magazines a little tricky. I am not sure how the wax will effect the internals or barrel lining, but it does certainly effect handling.

2 years agoSeems like good ammo for the price. gets to the target very quickly. Nice to put less lead in my yard

2 years agoOkay, so this particular round has a great snap to it. You can tell that round is moving compared to other Norma target rounds or even other hi-speed brands. The reason for the 3 star rating is that it is the greasiest ammo I've ever used. Unsure what it is coated with but the entire round (not just the bullet) is oily. I bought 500 rounds of Norma's standard target round and had the same experience. They perform well - you just feel like you've rinsed your hand in oil after handling a few.

2 years agoThe ammo arrived on time and well packaged. It's good ammo but it wouldn't cycle in a Ruger 10/22 or Marlin model 60. Be certain your going to run this in lever guns or bolt action rifles and you will be fine.

2 years agoOne of the fastest (1706fps) .22lr out there, approaching .22mag velocity! … great performance & trajectory … use it in all types of .22s… bolt, semi automatic,(pistol &rifle)single shot, revolver … don’t know about “terminal performance” because I don’t kill for sport, very accurate on targets though… not the cheapest .22lr but ya definitely get what you pay for

2 years agoShoots well, shoots fast, no problems whatsoever. Really hard to beat the value at the sale price, I'd wager impossible.

2 years agoI use these in a Colt .22 conversion unit mounted on a Colt 1911 frame. These units are very prone to leading with lead ammunition & can cease to function in less than 100 rounds. The Norma Ecospeed ammunition eliminates the leading problem altogether. On the negative side the lighter recoil causes an occasional jam & I notice accuracy decreases a bit bit overall a much more pleasant shooting experience.

1 year agoI use this in my bolt action Ruger with 10 shot magazine. There is some green goop on the rounds that I assume is lubricant or something from manufacturing process. I imagine it might foul semi-autos. I haven't had any problem with my use and haven't observed any residue in the magazines. I've fired about 150 rounds of it. Shoots high at close range compared to more typical 22LR rounds I shoot (CCI minimag, Federal automatch) but consistent.
