PMC X-Tac Match 223 77gr OTM Ammunition 20rds – 223XM

Bought this ammo to use for matches where we occasionally have up to 750 yard shots (typical 50yd -600yd). In testing the ammo with a Spike's 1:7 16" LE barreled upper with an adjustable gas block I only averaged 2440fps with an SD 40 using a magnetospeed over 25 rounds fired. It was 102F out so I would expect a bit less velocity when it is cooler. It is advertised to produce 2790fps out of a 20" barrel. This is marketing hype B.S. as you only lose 25-50 fps per inch of barrel in .223. I saw

I've used this ammunition in a Colt 6920, DPMS 3G1 and a Novekse custom build. I think this ammo shoots better than GMM.
