1 year agoI bought mine in 7mm Rem Mag 1992 and have never had one moment of regret. I did buy a fiberglass stock to hunt with because the Walnut stock is too beautiful to get scraped up. The workmanship is past excellent, the accuracy is superb, (@100 yds bench rest I get 0.5 groups with factory ammo), and I say that as a competitive shooter for many years. I chose this cal. because it will take small (2 pt. deer) or large (Elk or Moose) and not destroy the meat in the process. This version also has the crowned barrel which enhances the accuracy.

1 year agoI bought mine in 1971. I have never in all years shot a more accurate rifle. I have taken it to Canada for bear, and all over Pennsylvania for deer. If you want a rifle that is not only fine rifle but one that will Steve for years you can't go wrong with the 700 BDL.

1 year agoWhat can I saw that hasn’t already been said? The 700 is an accurate and reliable bolt action rifle that’s a joy to shoot. Everyone should own one in my humble opinion. The scope was almost spot on from the get-go, props to the previous owner!
