Remington HyperSonic Steel 12 Gauge 3-1/2in #2 1-3/8oz Waterfowl Shotshells – 25 Rounds – The 1700 FPS HyperSonic Steel from Remington is the world’s fastest, hardest hitting steel. With unprecedented velocity and the highest downrange pattern energies ever achieved, new Remington HyperSonic Steel takes lethality to levels. Hypersonic ammunition shortens your lead by up to 11 percent. Additionally, hotter primer ignites a small powder charge in the chamber, moving the entire payload forward slightly to control pressure.
- Box Includes 25 Shotshells
- Velocity Of 1700 FPS

2 years agoI had no problem with functionality at all. Shells seems to be as advertised and well made. The problem I had was excessive recoil. I normally shoot 3.5" loads of the same weight out of my SBE with no problem. These things kick so hard I had trouble getting more than two shots off. I was so far off target after the recoil it was basically like standing up to shoot all over again. These might work for some, but not me.

1 year agoUse 12gauge 3.5inch #2 for booth dark and light goose hunting and love them. Especially great for snow geese!

1 year agoThese shells kick hard & don't pattern well. Only denser shot will make a real difference on windy days or when pass shooting high birds. There is no need to shoot steel faster than 1550 fps in my opinion.

1 year agoI bought these for My Browning Gold 10 gauge. This gun is know to be a little finicky and jams more than one would like. These shells cycle perfect everytime...no jams at all. They also require less lead and hit hard.

1 year agoIm not one to complain to much but these shells are not good! Went out to patern test it and penatration test it and it have ok pattern but the penatration was not good at all so i decided to go out and try it during duck season and again bad penetraition at 2 yards the bbs went all around the sitting duck and clealy hit the duck but is flew away like nothing happend it also kicks like a mule and i very expensive after i did somethinking i think the reason to the lack of penatration is that they have cheap and lighter steel in the shells try it yourself but i suggest using Hevi-Steel and hevi-metal

1 year agoI bought the 3" 1 1/8 BB for pass shooting Canada's above the tree tops and they are worth every penny. With the bead just ahead of the beak I couldn't miss. I'm on the website now buying more of these. Thank you Remington!

1 year agoGetting back into duck hunting and friend of mine suggested the patternmaster choke in combination of Remington Hypersonic shells! The ducks i have shot with them have folded upon impact! I’ve been IMPRESSED!!!!!

1 year agoI had been told about these shells a couple of years ago, and just forgot about it. Found them recently and decided to give them a try. Wow! Leads are a thing of the past, put it on them and let them have it. They do kick harder, but you would expect that, it is mangeable. My thirteen year old son got ROCKED the first time he pulled the trigger on a duck with them because he wasnt expecting it, but he was back on them after that. I have read some of these other peoples issues with mechanical issues using them and I have not seen any of that. We hunt with an SBE1, and SBEII and my son uses a Stoeger, we have had ZERO issues of any kind. We have been using the 3" #4s, on ducks and I have been more than pleased with the results.

1 year agoTraveling for work made me take a break from hunting. Before I was shooting nitro steel. I figured why not try new technology so I tried the hypersonics and black cloud. The ducks I've shot with Hypersonics knocks them dead. I'm pleased with the black cloud as well but the Hypersonics seem better. I would definitely not go Winchester.

1 year agoI initially bought them for the colour to make custom practice shells for use at home. I DID NOT expect them to be as powerful as I thought. I usually just shoot Winchester 3 inch BB shells since they are some of the cheapest I can find and recently added HEVISHOT 3 inch BB shells into the pile too. Those shells are cute when you compare them to these shells. I went to the range one day to begin shooting these shells off so I could make my custom shells. I loaded 8 into the tube (cause I wanted to get it over with (bad idea may I add)) and I began to shoot. The first round went off and I thought to myself "okay, these shells got some pretty good kick and they got a pretty good fireball", Second round goes off "Okay, it may hurt a bit but I can manage", Third round goes off "ummm.... this hurts..." Hesitant forth shell goes off "these kick....really.....really....hard", Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, and Eight shells and up to the fifteenth shell can be summarized with internal screaming and a very unhealthy amount of pain in my left shoulder with a little on the right because I tried to shoot offhand (driving home afterwards was not fun but at least I can drive after that painful session of shooting) Went back to the range 1.5 week later (after the hurting has gone away) and finished off the remaining rounds I had left and didn't feel as bad as I did the first time around but, as I was finishing off the last 5 rounds, a guy that works at my local range looked over and said "those are some pretty powerful shells there". I nodded and just said yeah but in my head I was thinking "YOU DON'T SAY?!?!?!??!" with a sarcastic but mad smile (there great guys but the pain gets to people) To summarize, THESE SHELLS ARE NO JOKE AND I NOW KNOW WHY THEY COST SO MUCH!!!! Since I was at the range, I can say that these shells also have a good pattern to them and they stay relatively consistent from a cylinder choke If you want dead waterfowl quick, you use this ammo for hunt, they will drop out of the sky for sure. If your super serious about your hunts (and okay with paying significantly more) then this is a great choice if you can handle the recoil and you get use to them

1 year agoThese ridiculously overpowered shotshells over gassed my Browning Silver shotgun and caused damage to the gas piston assembly. They put so much velocity into the bolt that it smacked the rear of the receiver and left marks inside. If I hadn't noticed the damage they were causing these shells likely would have damaged the receiver also. Buyer beware! These shouldn't even be on the shelf.

1 year agoThey don't chamber in my autoloader. Bolt stops about a inch from closing. no second or third shot. Have no problem with other 3 inch loads. Notice they are a hair longer than other 3 inch rounds. No sure whats going on here.

1 year agoI bought these because why not but I haven’t used any yet. 5 stars for the rapid shipping. I’m an excellent shot so they will pry work great for me.

1 year agoMy only complaint is I can’t use it with any other choke I have but a simple modified that came with my browning. I’d like to use it with my extended choke tubes but they won’t shoot anything over 1500 FPS so it’s and almost perfect shell until the perfect choke comes out for it.

1 year agoUse this for hunting and it's great. Hits hard and down they go. Also great for the environment as well. Some areas have restricted lead shot, this is the best out there.

1 year agoLove these shot shells mostly the bang and recoil they give and also they wont cripple a bird unless your a bad shot.

1 year agoBOOM is the best way to put it! These suckers packa mean punch and have had zero issues with taking down some birds.

1 year agoWe bought 6 cases of these and wouldn’t always cycle through gun. They are a touch longer than 3” so most guns besides Remington will not cycle consistently. Remington has refunded my money and said I would have no problem if we used a Remington. We use, franchi, benelli and fabarm but no Remington.

1 year agoThe best goose shells I've ever used, hits so hard and you don't need to lead the bird. Point and shoot.... Amazing shells

1 year agoI was having trouble with the distance I was leading ducks when hunting. Trouble was, I was not leading them enough. These shells, with increased FPS were my solution. I held the same lead which felt natural to me and was getting head and breast shots all day long after changing to this shell. It really does reduce led time like it states in the description.
