1 year agoSmooth action, seems like a solid build , fantastic wood. Liked the bottom eject, i have limited knowledge of Model 37, but as a copy, looks great and has functioned well. Low/High brass.

1 year agoThis shotgun is nice! The action is slicker than my Ithaca 37’s. The finish is thin at the grooved receiver. The import marks are ugly. I haven’t shot it yet, but I’m thinking it will slam fire. As soon as I finish digging my trench I’ll update how she shoots.

1 year agoThe quality of this shotgun is great. Beautiful walnut stock. Feeds and cycles shells perfectly and smooth. At the price offered here from Psa youd be a fool to not grab one. On sale it's 250-300.. everywhere else is 500. RIA did a beautiful Job on this pump.

1 year agoThe Walnut stocks are fantastic! wood fit and finish ar perfect with stock grip being just slightly proud (raised a bit above metal in case you ever have to re-finish). Has cast parts and metric screws but otherwise seems to be true to original Ithica 37 design mechainically. John Browning designed both the 1897 and this model that was initiailly made by Remington as their model 11. Barrel removal is identical. You must remove the heatshield to rotate and remove barrel. Sling loops are 1" and

1 year agoA well-made shotgun with a smooth action. The stock wood has a nice figure and grain but I don't think the finish will be particularly durable. Zero issues in operation. The finish on the mag tube begins to show wear with the first cycling of the pump. The receiver stampings are huge and highlighted so they really stand out. The top stippling is straight, but off-center by a couple of millimeters which can make the sight seem "off" when initially shouldering the gun. I may be the odd man out on the stippling issue but it's not a dealbreaker.

1 year agoBeautiful wood, slick action, feels good in the hands, bought one for 299$. Would make for a great home defense shotgun if needed. Very satisfied with it Some FAQ ive seen: 1. The heatshield is metal 2. Does not come with a sling 3. Not an 1897 reproduction, its a M37 Trench reproduction
