The TAC Ultra Compact introduces a full tactical rail. Like all Rock Island 1911s, this series is built with 4140 Ordnance and is refined with our carefully managed hand fitting process. It’s chambered in 45 ACP with a 3-1/2 inches button rifled barrel supported by a full length guide rod and full dust cover. Includes a low profile adjustable rear sight and high visibility fiber optic front sight and is fitted with skeletonized hammer and trigger with adjustable over travel stop. The TAC Ultra is finished with a tough parkerized matte coating and adds battle ready G10 tactical grips. True to all Rock Island 1911’s, the TAC Ultra comes with a crisp factory 4 to 6 lb trigger to give you a great experience right out of the box.

1 year agoI've been carrying 9mm pistols for duty and off-duty for 16 years. This was my first 1911 .45 acp and i can't be any more satisfied. easy handling and qualified in the first try. this tac ultra cs with rail made me a fan of the 1911 .45... i don't think i'll ever go back for an off-duty carry. one thing to consider, if you chose any pistol with a rail, you'll need to get a custom holster... 99% of off the shelf holsters do not allow for a rail. no biggie, i've got a custom holster on order. my daily load is the critical duty +p .45 acp.

1 year agoLong time fan of RIA 1911's. This Tac Ultra CS gives me the ability to still carry in my favorite platform and caliber in an officers size package. The quality is excellent. This is a lot of gun for the money. GrabAGun is also fantastic, this was ordered and in the hands of my FFL in 5 days. Just perfect transaction.

1 year agoI’m an avid 1911 fan. I’ve owned them all from colt gold cup, to kimber, sig sauer, springfield, & now rock island. I purchchased the rock tac ultra cs & i have to tell you it’s quickly earned a spot in my heart. Well made, feels great, shoots just as well. I’m very impressed With my tac ultra cs & highly recommend It to anyone looking For a lot of 1911 for an economical price. Great value…great purchase.

1 year agoExcellent pistol and pretty damn sexy! The fit and finish is excellent recoil is noticeably lighter than a single stack, and it’s extremely accurate. Overall I’m extremely pleased with it. And guns.com did an awesome job getting it to me quickly.

1 year ago????. If someone is looking for a GOOD home defense pistol. Can't go wrong with a dubble stack 45acp. ????. But! You differently have to have big enough hands to fit around this beauty.
