Rock Island VR60 Tactical 12 Gauge Shotgun – 601-BC
The ultimate design and features of an AR semi-automatic shotgun using a conventional gas-operated action which is located around the support tube that runs below the barrel. The return spring is also located around the same support tube which is concealed by an enlarged polymer handguard. The barrel can be very easily removed from the upper receiver. The upper receiver is manufactured from an aluminum alloy. The magazine release button mimics the M16 rifle location. The manual safety also duplicates the M16 style being located on the left side of the receiver above the pistol grip. The top of the receiver has a carrying handle and integral picatinny rail for mounting rear sights, or any optical accessories. The VR60 12-gauge shotgun is appropriate for all levels of hunting and sporting enthusiasts. Comes packaged in a nice commercial box with the chokes and magazine. Removable A-2 style carry handle allows for quick conversion to a flat top. Chambered for 3″ Magnum loads.

2 years agoIn love with my shotgun, I’ve been able to find great websites to buy ammo at a great price, I noticed someone mentioned an issue with getting the 4 free mags after purchase- I sent in my info to the link and they’ve provided my code within days- however it was via EMAIL- so make sure to enter a current email and you should be all set to get your free mags. Palmetto was great with my shipping I also bought ammo via Palmetto separately- shipping took a bit but so far I’m satisfied. Awesome vids in YouTube alongside the one posted!

2 years agoThis gun is awesome! Very little recoil. Shot 50 rounds and no misfire no jam ups. Wonderful. Buy it!

1 year agoLIKE the AR style, like the mag loading, like the semiautomatic fire, like the multiple rails, and the excellent hand grip. Do Not like the unfriendly safety lever that jabs into my finger, being left handed, do not like the short butt stock pad that's way too short to fit armpit allowing proper aiming, and not crazy about the short loading lever. Shoots great, fast, and sure. Cheap ammo, not one jammed.

1 year agoGreat Weapon and Great Customer Service from PSA, but when it comes to the free magazine rebate, prepare to wait and call customer service multiple times. Armscor and Rock Island Armory has horrendous customers service, I'm waiting for months now they are an excuse machine.

1 year agoFun Gun. Great accessories, including extended mags, per rebate form and chokes. Holosun or Romeo 5 co-witness great with riser. Break-in shooting recommended. Well built and great price.

1 year agoI've been very happy with this shotgun so far. They recommend breaking it in with high brass but all i had were light loads and I've never had any malfunctions at all, about 3 boxes through it.I also didn't have any problem getting the free magazines. For the price especially I feel like it's a great deal.

1 year agoHigh volume rapid fire platform. Just enough weight to offset the normal 12 gauge recoil. I am please with the purchase.

1 year agoAfter looking at reviews I saw some good and some bad as far as the mags feeding and cycling issues. So far I have to say i’m very impressed. I ran 100 shells through it and didn’t have any issues. Was surprised with how much lighter the recoil was compared to my old Mossberg. Would definitely recommend this shotgun.

1 year agoAfter watching videos on youtube ,I learned that It was a good idea to take the shotgun apart and lube it really well before use. I did that the night i picked up my VR60 . The next day I ran a whole box of 50 target rounds through it without a hangup or malfunction. Its a really good shooting gun. The only problem I had was that I have to shoot left handed because of my eyesight, and the safety lever was digging into mt left hand when I shot it. I taped it up and filed the lever down quite a

1 year agoDecent price. Performs well. Light weight so kicks like a mule. Functions well. All parts are tight and not sloppy. Sights are easy to aquire. The magazines are thin and flimsy. Difficult to load shells and we had a few that jammed up catching on the next shell. May have to load very carefully or it might become more forgiving with use. Several chokes provided with wrench. We shot slow and accurate and fast blasting and it did well in both.

1 year agoNo complaints at all other than it being a little heavy but I knew that before the purchase. I finally got it out to the range today after having it for a month or so. I shot 60 rounds of Sterling 00 Buck through it and the gun was flawless! Not a single misfeed or jam, every spent shell ejected and ejected a good 8 feet to a 2 o'clock position. The manual states that the break in period is 25-50 rounds so I'd say I'm good now. I did disassemble the gun and lubed it last night so I'm sure

1 year agoBOOM BOOM BOOM all day long no issues running 00 buck, bird shot or slugs. highly recommend getting one if you can.

1 year agoKicks like an angry mule. Had a few stove pipe failures, failure to feed, various brands of slug ammo. Grouping at 50yrd is 10 inch spread at worst, best is two inch groups. Test ammo separately to know accuracy. 9 rnd mags jam at 9, work best at 8. Just use 5 rnd mags for budget and stress free use.

1 year agoIt's the worst gun purchase I've ever made. Don't buy this flimsy plastic junk like the other reviewer said. I've owned it for 3 years and invested a good amount in it. The metal is cheap. Mine has a chip under the metal receiver. This thing will actually CHIP with rough handling, the metal, plastic and everything. I swear by it. There's a break in period which means it's crap, junk and not worth it. That's not how a proper firearm should be made. Every other gun I've shot new ran flawlessly.

1 year agoGood gun worth the money just needs to be cleaned wen first get and leave the bolts open for an couple days if you want to shoot low brass through this very good gun glad i got it

1 year agoLove the look and it shoots well. I have seen complaints about the recoil. I don't have much experience with shotguns, but it doesn't feel too bad to me. I fired dozens of high brass shells and my shoulder was not sore at all. I have 5 rnd and 9 rnd mags. The 9 rnd mags can be a little hard to load and I also had a little trouble inserting them in the gun, but once in they fed fine. The 5 rounders are perfect.

1 year agoLooks and feels great, I have not yet taken it to the range and fire it. When doing my research, they say to keep the bolt locked back for 3 weeks to a month to loosen the spring however, that is for smoother recycling of lower powered rounds like bird shot. They say that you can and should start it out with 00 buck at least the first 10 or more rounds. I can’t wait to take this bad boy out!
