1 year agoGreat quallity and value for a 1911 compact. As accurate as I am which means excellent potential in the hands of an expert.

1 year agoI was impressed with the quality, this Rock island compact is worth the money and has room for upgrades without breaking the bank, very pleased.

1 year agoMy first 1911. Been running a Glock 19. Not hard to get used to higher caliber and compact design. Accurate out of the box. Cycled approx 100 rounds flawlessly.

1 year agoFit and finish are excellent and It will accept any 7 rd. (or larger) 1911 mag. The included 7 rd. Act Mag is also top quality. Sights are standard 1911, so if you're planning on changing them, the rear sight is best changed with a high-quality sight pusher. But the front sight should be changed by a gunsmith as it will require a staking tool. Also, because there's no barrel bushing, be aware that the take down is slightly different from that of a standard 1911. The included instruction manual

1 year agoGreat price on a solid compact 45. Feels good in the hand . Added a set of Pearce grips and feels even better. A cuple sets of grips plates for looks . 7 rounds is decent considering the size, accepts larger mags but wont sit flush. Overall great reliable 45 just remeber its the compact/officers size when looking for accessories. Wont be disappointed if your able to find one in stock (besides ammo availability).

1 year agoLove the gun and we'll perform. First 5 round little difficult and jamming but after first mag, works smooth. Excellent and great price.

1 year agoHavent shot in a range yet. Feel sturdy enough to absorb recoiling force, I think. Not yet able to push the pin to take off the slide stop.

1 year agoIt is a very nice gun, A little bit heavy for a 45 but not that bad,I have not shot it just yet. maybe this week-end. I really looks good in the day light, just what I was looking for, that wood grip makes the gun. I will know more when I get to shot it.

1 year agoExactly what I wanted, great price and great service. The CS is smaller than you might think it is. A very nice, concealable size

1 year agoI have long wanted a 1911, but didn't want to pay a lot. During the gun/ammo shortage of 2021, I saw this one in the store and snagged it immediately! Glad I did! It's been a great little shooter. I'm still in the break-in period and have the occasional failure-to-feed, but that is happening less and less as time goes on. Yesterday, I ran Hornaday 230 gr XTP, Winchester 230 white box hollow points, Federal Hydrashok 230gr and Winchester 230 gr FMJ through it. I had no problems with either hollow

1 year agoIt is everything I thought it would be. Very nice. It is slightly heavier than I expected, but that's okay. I can't wait to try it at the range.

1 year agoA bit jumpy with the smooth wood grips. I ordered rubber grips from Rock Island that took care of that. 200 rounds so far, 0 miss feeds.

1 year agoIt is a solid pistol" Very fun to shoot have no issues with whatsoever. I'm totally satisfied with my purchase".

1 year agoGreat 1911 for the price. I compared another 1911 brand that cost $500 more but the Rock Island trigger was better. The only thing I would change would be the sights. My old eyes have a hard time seeing them. I read how others touched them up with some fabric paint so I did that and they work fine now.

1 year agoSmooth and compact. Nice feel. Only thing was for me, the handgun was pretty dry. No grease or anything. Was also missing a gun lock which was purchased in store without any problems. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase.

1 year agoI have had mine for a year now. It is my carry gun 90 percent of the time. I like the weight of it and the feel. I changed the grips right away to ruber ones that wrap around and love them. If I could I would get the 9mm also for my wife for her to cary. Mine is a .45acp.

1 year agoI could never truly understand the almost cult following that owners have of RAI 1911’s have. I am a fanatic now. They are not like the sexy looking Kimber’s or Wilson Combat 1911’s. Honestly there really not all that attractive at all. BUT you don’t marry a pistol. You carry it in hopes you never have to use it but need to feel it’s going to perform and perform flawlessly if you do. Well I am throughly amazed for under $500 I have shelved my Springfield and other high end carry pieces

1 year agoLove the pistol but wants to fight going back into battery about 6 times after less than 100 rounds. For now I’ll keep shooting and cleaning. Be advised it’s got some weight for its size but feels very reassuring on your hip. I did change the grips for thinner rubber ones for my small hand size.
