The TAC Ultra FS introduces a full tactical rail. Like all Rock Island 1911s, this series is built with 4140 Ordnance steel and refined by our carefully managed hand fitting process. This pistol is chambered in 45 ACP with a 5 inches button rifled barrel supported by a full length guide rod and full dust cover. Includes a low-profile adjustable rear sight and high-visibility fiber optic front sight. Also fitted with a skeletonized hammer and trigger with adjustable over travel stop. The TAC Ultra is finished with a tough parkerized matte coating and has battle ready G10 tactical grips. True to all Rock Island 1911s, the TAC Standard comes with a crisp, factory 4 to 6 lb trigger to give you a great experience right out of the box.

1 year agoHave a Kimber target II 45acp that I use for target shooting and wanted a heavier target pistol for practice. This works great! The heavier weight with the rail helps me "train" my arm muscles and allows me to shoot more accurately during competition. Only had 4 F2E's in 500 rounds. Not bad considering I was using cheap ammo. Will buy again, but won’t have to. Very nice looking handgun!

1 year agoI really like this pistol. The sights are very nice the grips are ruff texture. The trigger is very crips. It's a series 70. The accuracy is great. I can hit a 3 inch patch at 40ft. The slide pull is smooth. Great first 1911

1 year agoGreat handgun fires true only issue I had was how oily it was out of the box. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a 911 and can’t afford a colt.

1 year agoThis is a solid 1911 for the money. The slide to frame fit is better than many more expensive guns as is the barrel and bushing fit and the trigger. The trigger is amazing for a gun in this price range. The sights are fantastic as well. I thought at this price I would be swapping out parts with Wilson or Brown parts. I found it really didn't need them. There actually is not a lot of MIM in this pistol (a Kimber has more) which surprised me. The only thing I changed was to go to a GI … Read More

1 year agoRIA has great quality and reliable products. This is no exception... Don't let this low price point fool you, this is a great weapon. It has now replaced my Glock 34 as my nightstand gun with hollow points. I've ran a few hundred rounds through it from different manufacturers and have had ZERO FTF or FTE problems. Don't think about it any longer, pull the trigger (pun intended) before the price of these start going up because of the praise they are getting. Happy shooting!

1 year agoTHIS IS MY FIRST 1911 TO OWN, IT IS A BEAST. vERY HEAVY, GREAT BALANCE, LARGE GRIPS, IF YOU HAVE TINY CARNEY HANDS, YOU WONT BE ABLE TO CONTROL IT. fIRST TIME AT THE RANGE, NO JAMS, EVEN WITH ALL THE OIL THAT IT SHIPPED IN. dO IT.

1 year agoOverall I am happy with my purchase. Shoots accurate. Looks good. Fits my hands well. I’m not a big fan of compact pistols because they are too small to get a good grip on. This handgun has a full size frame which fits comfortably in my hands. The recoil is not as bad as I thought it would be. The only problem I have is the magazine. It only comes with one. Also when you’re down to your last bullet and your shoot it, the slide does not stay back in the open position like it’s supposed to. I’ve … Read More

1 year agoI love mine, super smooth action and promag clips feed flawless my 25rnd mag never had any issues the only thing I dont like about it is that the front red sight doesnt glow like a truglo sight is suppose to and I prefer green tips never been a fan of red they just arent as brite as most green do so im trying to find just the green tip and ill feel its finally complete...,but RIA has been the closest 1911 I could find to a original colt kimber comes close but thier price is just under what you could get an original or a collector piece

1 year agoGreat gun so far. About 300 rounds through it. 180 in one session and 120 next weekend. both times mag after mag in quick succession with 2 shooters. Using chip mccormick mags. No major malfunctions. Slide did not go into battery on last round at end of both sessions like 2-3 times, but new gun, new mags, tired hands and a hot supper are a factor. Trigger is great. Very accurate. This will not be the last rIA gun I purchase. If your on the fence. Pic one up. Get the 10 round mags and love your new 1911.

1 year agoThis is a great 1911. Fires with no problems and easy to clean. It is a tad on the heavy side but it is definitely solid. There are very few 1911’s out there that offer a rail system. This i really liked since it allowed to install a lighting system. Grab a gun offered this for a great price and there shipping was extremely fast.

1 year agoExcellent pistol and pretty damn sexy! The fit and finish is excellent recoil is noticeably lighter than a single stack, and it’s extremely accurate. Overall I’m extremely pleased with it. And guns.com did an awesome job getting it to me quickly.

1 year ago????. If someone is looking for a GOOD home defense pistol. Can't go wrong with a dubble stack 45acp. ????. But! You differently have to have big enough hands to fit around this beauty.
