I ordered the gun which came with two mags and then three additional mags direct from armscor. I went to the range with 250 rds of federal 115gn fmj.The gun looked good with just a slight frame to slide wobble as expected for this price range.I did not like how all 5 of my mags had 1/16-1/8" of vertical movement once locked into the frame. With upward pressure the alignment of the round to the ramp/barrel looked great however with no pressure the mag sat lower and the rounds were aimed at the … Read More

I love this firearm!I have always been a Glock guy but I have always wanted a 1911 style pistol. This was my first 1911 gun and also my first online purchase. First off, this is no $1200 STI, but it is a fantastic piece. For ~$700 you cannot beat it. I purchased this on a late Tuesday night and had it by the following Tuesday morning. Everything was tight and smooth out of the box. The gun is very accurate (compared to my Glocks). Trigger has a little uptake but still brakes very nicely. Only … Read More

The TAC ultra has performed flawlessly. It has the 1911 looks that I like and the capacity of seventeen rounds and a rail like a tactical. The best of both worlds and for around $700 bucks.

Love it. I shoot 3 gun with it. It will be a long time before I can outshoot the pistol. Good pistol for the $$.

Goes toe-to-toe with the expensive 2011s. Super accurate with minimal recoil and fast. Only recommendation I have is to upgrade the extractor to an aftec competition extractor. Other than that this beast is ready to run with the big boys right out of the box!

This was my first experience with GrabaGun and getting a "great" quote on this gun...so I bought it. Yes, it was well covered in rust preventative from the factory but with a little time, it came out nice and clean. The slide to frame fit is unbelievable! Very high quality and smooth as silk. The double stack and wider frame is not overbearing for a medium sized hand and the weight of the gun absorbs much of the recoil. One of my most accurate shooting guns even out to 25 yards (and my old … Read More

This is a pretty heavy platform for a 9mm. But it just makes it fire like butter. No issues as others seemed to complain about with extractor issues or feed ramp problems, but I just barely shot 4 mags through it. Love how it feels. Not as sensitive on the trigger as my other classic 1911's but this is nice. For the money, this is a VERY respectable 1911.

Nice handling. No problems with magazines or actually anything. Point it and it shoots. The only problem seems to be not related to the firearm itself. One or two suppliers of holsters. I am getting a 3i holster only because RIA approached them at last years NRA show. I am left handed but that should not make any difference. I also noticed there is a company called Webb that might make one. That's it. No other manufacturer supports this gun. I'm a fan of BladeTech and they don't support it. Also … Read More

Thought this budget 2011 would be lousy, but, it's really nice. I am surprised with the fit and finish at that price. Would recommend!

I already had a RIA 1911 , but I wanted one with a rail and double stacked. I just couldn't see myself paying over for the other "2011" type guns. I went to the range twice already and this.gun is on point. This is my go to gun for everything right now.

Great gun for the price range and one of my favorite firearms to shoot. Smooth trigger, low recoil and straight tac driver. Magazine are hard to find but glad I bought the 1911.

Took me a year to find one. Worth every minute searching. Smooth, flat shooting. Quickly became my favorite pistol.

If your shopping got a double stacked 1911 definitely buy the RIA TAC Ultra. The mags are hard to come by but the mecgar p18 mags work for the 9mm. You will have to cut or slightly bend the base pad. I did both and they work flawlessly. It’s over a great firearm and has been my new concealed carry . But what ever you heard about the weight … believe it. It’s pretty heavy but still feels great in hand.

Honestly, I did not have a chance to fire it but the looks and a finish are excellent. Dry fire drills with my laser bullet device went smooth. GrabAgun did excellent work on sending it on time and keep me updated on the progress of my order. I will update this review after actually shooting the gun.

Not my first ria, wont be My last! Excellent service by gag! Only down side is that it was dripping in grease, so it took a long time to clean. First shots down range….cant complain at all. Love this gun!!!

Grips are huge, so I'm shooting way left with this. Trigger and sights are good, smooth operating no stoppage at all even with reloads. If I can find slimmer grips I'll be very happy

Makes for a great budget 2011, but the availability of magazines is a real problem. RIA/Armscor doesn't have them and they're nowhere to be found elsewhere. I found a Reddit thread with some answers and apparently the most convenient thing is to swap out the mag catch altogether so that it'll be compatible with MBX/SV/STI magazines. That's far too...Read More Read more about review stating Great Budget 2011
