2 years agoI have alot of shotguns. I am impressed with the VR80. The benefits of a mag fed semi auto that has AR platform style controls with ambidextrous side charging handle is certainly an advantage. Beware the charging handle is a reciprocating unit so keep thumbs clear! The ability to swap sides with charging handle in seconds sure helps with certain malfunction drills. Great for lefties as well. In my opinion the side chargers have an advantage over AR charging as you can charge quickly without

1 year agoThis rebate has expired 12/31/21... Why post this offer now, on 1/8/22 PSA? Is this false advertisement, or has this offer been extended?

1 year agoLast year, Rock Island offered a $50 rebate per pump shotgun, so I purchased two, or $100 rebate value. Turns out it wasn't a rebate, but $100 in "free" overpriced Armscor options. Ordered those, but never received the options. Wrote them 3 times, only the last communications was acknowledged, saying that my order was not lost. No action on their part...and I'm out $100!

1 year agoAwesome gun to shoot. Trouble feeding 2 3/4” 00Buck though (Remington). 3” fed without issue. Also very good sissy pad! Won’t feel like shoulder is gonna fall off when you’re finished. Grouping of 7 out of 9 pellets in 18” diameter at 10 meters

1 year agoCycles light bird shot (1200fps) out of the box but i can tell the shells dont get ejected very far... it cycles 00 buck even better and ejects the shells much further. This thing is a blast to shoot.

1 year agoSO THANKFUL THIS GUN IS CA LEGAL.... TRULY CREATIVE HOW THAT IS... COMBINED WITH THE 10 ROUND CLIPS IS UNRIVALED IN FLUID RESPONSE TO ANY APPLICATION. AS OTHER REVIEWS STATE.... INCREDIBLY JAM RESISTANT WITH DIFFERENT LOADS / SHELL MANUFACTURERS AND SIZES.

1 year agoThe VR80 is everything they claim it is. I watched a lot of review videos on it, and it is bad to the bone. I have had zero cycling problems right out of the box. It will run three gun without any modifications, unless you choose to do modifications. Well worth the money folks, you will not be sorry.

1 year agoIntimidating. The main complaint is PSA's claimed $100 rebate. It doesn't apply to VR80's made in Turkey.,

1 year agoMost Turkish-style mag-fed shotguns like this have serious cycling issues, but the VR-80 really performs well with pretty much everything I throw at it. That being said, do yourself a favor and get a commercial buffer tube (not mil-spec) and put a proper stock on it!

1 year agoThis is the one that you were looking for. It feeds and fires everything. It’s a hoot to shoot. It is a really good deal with the rock island rebate. It comes complete. Nice overall package from rock island. (I purchased the 9 round mag separately. I also recommend purchasing.) Thanks again to PSA for the great customer service.

1 year agoThis is definitely one of my favorite weapons! I’ve fired at least 300 rounds of all types through it, and after the initial break-in (maybe 40-50 rounds) it has fired flawlessly, without a single failure. I did find that if I jam a magazine in the bolt will get stuck and I’ll have to give the magazine a slight pull downward to send the bolt forward. Now that I have it figured out it’s not an issue.

1 year agoFun gun to shoot! Nice, smooth action. In understanding the need for break in, I made sure I had the "heavy load" piston, and commenced using the "high brass" as specified in the manual. This combination absolutely worked as I had expected; unfortunately I didn't buy enough of the heavy load, as the shop only had 1 box. Instead, I purchased a SLIGHTLY lighter load, that they believed would work just as well. There was only 50-100fps difference between the 2 loads, but with the lighter loads,

1 year agoGreat deal offering the extra magazines with this VR80. The whole package deal included the extra chokes tools for quick change and even a pair of ear plugs. Only disappointment was the front sling mount was broken.

1 year ago95 rounds of 2 3/4" Slug and Buck with ZERO malfunctions on 1st use. No issue with "break in" comments that are so prevalent. If unfamiliar with style of firearm, just read the manual to ensure you have prepared the weapon for the specific ammunition you are using. 5 round and 9 round magazines were used. *Pay attention to loads and FPS before use.*

1 year agoI love it. It shoots perfect with 00 Buckshot @1500 fps. Not so good with high brass high velocity 2 3/4 shells. I just think that a new gun should work well without having to spend so much time and money "breaking it in". That's my only issue with the gun.

1 year agoIf I ever faced a charging grizzly, this is what I'd want in my hands with one shell chambered and three double oughts and two slugs in the magazine.

1 year agoReally fun gun. Had a few malfunctions in the first 30 rounds but after that it ran great. Only about 100 rounds through it so far. Got the 19 round mag for it and it makes it look awesome. Not the lightest gun. Not a lot of space inside the handrail so becareful when buying m-lok accessories for it. Awesome looking gun. Definitely worth it.

1 year agoLove the gun but only will cycle high brass /heavy loads . I’ve cycled atleast 60 rounds through it and still won’t cycle light loads . What am I doing wrong?
