No rifle does classic American styling and swift, light handling like Rossi’s legendary R92. Built on the proven model 92 lever action, the Rossi R92 combines a traditional hardwood stock with blued or stainless-steel finish to deliver a big-bore rifle suitable for the backwoods or the back forty. Adjustable rear buckhorn sight, an elegant classic wood profile, and an exquisitely smooth-cycling action prove that contemporary engineering can pair seamlessly with time-honored craftsmanship and design.

2 years agoCheapest .357 levergun you can get. But be forewarned, no fancy checkering on that light brown Brazil wood. The stock has a flat top originals didn't have. This leads to a small crescent shaped butt plate that'll leave a mark on a cowpuncher's shoulder with .357. The Taurus forums say you can put a 10-22 Ruger butt plate pad on with the same tang. That's how small the stock is. Action is tight at first but smooths with use. Nice sights with brass wash bead.

2 years agoIt’s a great rifle! I am using it for Cowboy Action Shooting. My husband slicked it up and it works great! We are having a blast! Haha!!

2 years agoMy Rossi R92 has a great finish. 357 magnum and 38 special rounds feed easily, fire and cycle accurately. Love the buckhorn sight. The curved buttplate actually secures the rifle firmly in the hollow of your shoulder, helping to ensure consistent and accurate shots. I've owned it for about 3 years. Purchased at GAG.

2 years agofeed ramp was so tight, i had trouble loading it. their is a small tab inside the ramp area had to file it down to clear. after that all good.

2 years agoi bought this to shoot my hand loads at the range and admire JMB's basic design. loading gate was a little rough at first as was the action, but after the first trip to the range and ~100 ROUNDS all smoothed out nicely. i bought a few more parts after some research online -- removed of the safety switch, replaced with a plug. Also installed a stainless steel mag spring and mag tube follower. ONE COMPLETE DISASSEMBLY/CLEANING and all action and loading roughness was resolved. Overall a bit rough at first but working with this rifle is easy and part of the fun.

2 years agoGReat value, well made and action getting smoother after every range trip. Gate took 100-200 roundS to Loosen up and buttery SIft. Love firing 357 and 38. Note: butt plate is metAl and Does not absorb light kick. Highly recommend!!!

2 years agoFit, finish and action were great. The only thing I changed for the better was the ejector spring. The stock and forend were refinish... well just because.

2 years agoI had read there were problems with the either loading or the cycling of jsp .357’s no such issues, yet. I’ve never used this type of sight before. It was easy to use. It’s a fun rifle to shoot.

2 years agoIt does look great! Sadly I haven't had the opprtunity to fire it yet, but just looking at it, touching it, and getting used to the "controls" has made the purchase worthwhile. A good price and fast service.

2 years agoIt's a hoot! It's not a winchester, but it's more than anyone should expect for the money. FRIENDs and I have been having fun with it indoors and out.

2 years agoI was pleasantly surprised by the build quality, fit and finish and the quality of the walnut used in the furniture. The rifle operates smoothly and is a blast to shoot.
TROY P
2 years agoI have only shot it at the range so far. Using the iron sites and shooting from a lead sled I could get a 3 inch pattern at 50 yards and a 4 inch pattern at 75 yards. I have a red dot site I will put on it before I go to the range next. I have had excellent red dot results previously and expect to have same excellent results with my Rossi R92.

2 years agoso FAR, the rifle has been great. I would give it a five but i have not had it very long and i am not sure how it will work after a few hundred rounds
