Ballistically Motivated
1 year agoOverall I couldn't be happier with this little bolt action for the price. It appears to be made of blued steel, except for the stock and sights. The magazine is also steel and well constructed. The stock is very solid and ergonomic. The fiber optic sights are very bright, albeit with a coarse sight picture. The rear sight has very positive and convenient adjustment dials, but the sights are plastic and a little janky. They are blocky and obscure most of the target, so a handgun style, 6'o'clock hold is required. The action is smooth and reliable. The safety is a little awkwardly out of the way and requires some force to engage/ disengage, but not too bad. The trigger is surprisingly clean. Maybe about a five pound pull or so with little take up, no creep, and a clean break. I think the sights are the weakest link in the durability department, but slap a scope on there and it's a quality rifle for the price of a lot of air rifles. The bolt is finicky to remove, and I haven't quite figured out the truck yet. Other .22's, you hold the trigger as you pull the bolt from the receiver, but this one it doesn't always work. I can't find any information on it in the owners manual. It dies come out but I have to fiddle with it for awhile.

1 year agoFun little rifle, unfortunately it had a bad retractor out of the box. Had to ship it back for repairs the same day i brought it home.

1 year agoWanted to really like this rifle but it was defective right out of the box, shot about 5 or 6 rounds through it using cci, winchester and federal rounds and none would eject. The 50 mile round trip to pick it up was no problem because i had it shipped to store but another 50 to return it and another when it is repaired by Rossi and returned back to store ( going on 3 weeks now ) is very frustrating. A bad experience all the way around.

1 year agoNice. And inexpensive little bolt action 22lr. Love the sites in this 22. Wish it held 25 rounds in clip instead of 10. Very accurate! No jamming.

1 year agoYou'll have to put a scope on the 22WMR model. It's similar to the RB17. Stiff bolt throw on the up stroke. Was surprised of the accuracy out at 100 yards. Very light. Super fun to shoot. I'm very happy with my purchase.
