2 years agoSaw this at walmart for $100....ended up giving it to my nephew and buying another one here since WM was out, these things are incredible. Accurate, crazy light, nice fully adjustable Fiber optic sights and decent stock too....and they take 702 Plinkster 25rd mags too!! my only gripe is the pins holding the trigger group on were INSANELY hard to get out even knowing the direction to get them out of, literally had to beat them out with a hardened punch and hammer, it was so tight in the

2 years agoA true diamond in the rough. A great little rifle. Inexpensive but doesn’t perform like you would expect from an inexpensive rifle. My second favorite sleeper of my collection behind the 2017 Canik TP9SFx.

2 years agoAwesome little rifle. Compares favorably to a 10/22 at a fraction of the cost. 500 rounds through mine without a hiccup.

2 years agoThis is a great rifle! Fantastic price and an awesome teaching tool for my kiddos to learn on. I've had it for more than a year with zero issues. Shoot it, clean it, rinse and repeat. I don't even think we've had a single jam with it. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a cheap plinker.

1 year agoAbsolute junk. Does not cycle or feed ammo correctly at all. You name it, fail to feed, fail to return to battery, fail to eject, stove pipe etc etc....sould have known better.

1 year agoEverything about the gun was much better than one could expect for a rifle in this price range. I now have 4 RS22s and have added folding stocks on two of them. Everything just works as one would expect Excellent family fun for target shooting and it would work well for anything you could use a 22 for. Only years of use will determine if the rifle holds up but this should be the standard for low-cost 22 family shooting. More fun than my 10-22s and the older 22s that I've used for decades.

1 year agoWonderful gun for the price. Always happy to do business with Palmetto State Armory for all of my most recent gun purchases. I always come here first when I'm looking. Top notch company to do business with and I'm not just saying that. Every purchased gun I've bought from Palmetto which includes a shotgun, AR-15 and now this 22lr rifle have been nothing but flawless purchasing experiences every time and I thank Palmetto for that.

1 year agoI just love my Rossi RS 22!! I proved that it is the exact same weapon as the Mossberg plinkster. And converted my very good Monte Carlo rifle stock using the Mossberg plinkster tactical folding stock. I now have a 22 LR that has superior grip with the slotted front of the barrel and folds nearly in half with a push of a button. I can now put it in a back pack without all the additional expense of a breakdown version 22LR!

1 year agoI was reluctant to buy this, given my less than favorable experiences with other Rossi firearms in past. But given the price, I took the chance. So far this has been a great 22 LR. I have not had any issues with feeding or ejecting (about 250 rounds), and fired mainly cheap stuff. I bought the Pro Mag folding stock and that makes it portable and pretty cool looking. I plan on getting another Rossi and putting a scope on it. My only compliant, is that like many 22 rifles, the take down

1 year agoVERY easy to fire. Only a few jams, due to lack of cleaning. I've had about 300 rounds through it so far. Easy to take apart and clean. Great beginner rifle.

1 year agoThe Rossi RS22 lr is one great rifle to own very verities go hunting squirrels, rabbit, racoon, gators super good gun goes to the range for plinking. I recommend it for most any purpose. being a gunsmith and dealer, the rifle is an all-around super rifle to add to your household of arms. This rifle is moderately priced very affordable, and it comes in a tan brown also. The ten round magazine is a plus semi auto makes it even better I like more than one shot at a time. Easy to carry very light

1 year agoDecent cheap little 22, doesn’t seem to like cheap 22lr but that’s to be expected in any semi auto 22, the cheap ammo jusr doesn’t have enough umph, but overall it’s decent, perfect for kids, great little family gun for kids to learn with. There is better rifles but for the price you can’t beat it.

1 year agoIt’s just fun. I’ve had fail to feed issues, a significant amount of which turned out to be from the plinker mags I purchased as spares, which sucks because “they’re compatible”. Well they are and they’re not… but overall this gun is fun, accurate, cheap, and awesome.

1 year agoWhat a great plinker ! Cleaned and oiled it out of the box. Great sights with no adjustment needed. Sent 200 rds through it all at 25yds, no bench rest. All but two rounds in very tight 2.5-3 inch circle which devastated the 10x ring of the target. The two misses were only a couple inches out, and were entirely lazy shots on my part. I had bought 2 spare mags, non Rossi, and the only issue was those two mags did not like being pushed tight into the mag well. Pulling them back about .32 to .16

1 year agoPurchased at Academy back in July of 2022 and have put a few hundred rounds though it at 50-yards and it performs outstandingly. I purchased a Mossberg 25-round magazine for it, and I can't wait to get my wife on the range with it. The gun is very light and has great easy to see through adjustable sights on it. Rossi and Mossberg parts are interchangeable for this model.

1 year agoI would buy a second one and not look back. The one I have with added scope and tri-pod, with good ammo is great! Have put about 500 rounds thru it, only had about 12 problems, mostly due to ammo (it's a .22) that only 2.4% if you do the math. Just keep it cleaned, as needed and use good ammo. I did only use Mossberg mags.

1 year agoThis is a great little rifle. I can't speak to the stock sights as I put on a cheap amazon 3 x 9 50 optic. With the optic, it's incredibly accurate at 100 yards; 2 inch grouping with some wind ain't bad for a sub $200 rifle. My kids love this gun and while I thoroughly enjoy my PSA AR15, this little .22 is a blast to shoot!

1 year agoWell made firearm. Simple, light, sturdy, straight-shooting and customizable rifle at a 1/3 of the price of many others. 1000 plus rounds of Aguila HV and only three misfeeds...probably due to the off-brand magazines I purchased. Good purchase.

1 year agoI bought the black version, which is now out of stock -- but there's several other stock color options still available from PSA, along with Rossi's .22 WMR models too (though the WMR models won't fit the PM279 folding stock, as all the others will).

1 year agoBest online store around! Cannot say enough or cannot recommend enough what a great product and d service PSA offers! Bought this Rossi as a starter for son and it's been a hit!
