Love this thing. I take it rabbit, squirrel, grouse Hunting as much as I can in late season. I bring it out a lot just to plink as well. I love how versitle it is and how many aftermarket accessories there are for it. I've shot thousands of rounds and I've cleaned the gun maybe twice (I like to put my guns through the ringers to see how tough they really are) and it is unstopple. In that time I've had some jamming but I'm talking 1 in 250. After cleaning it and keeping a nice thin oil layer on it you'll forget what jamming and issues are.

Had my ruger for 3 years now and no problems. Factory magazines are unbeatable no feeding issues only had a few issues with butler creek mags. At least 2500 rounds threw this rifle. It doesn't feel as beefy as my Remington 597 and the controls aren't as nice but it's much more reliable . Would buy another one

This rifle is very easy to load and fire. Just bought the rifle yesterday and was using it out in -18 C. weather. Had to reload the mag. several times with cold hands with no problem. Feels great and shoots straight.

I've had mine for 10 years. Still waiting for something to go wrong. Extra magazines are worth the few extra dollars in cost. I also bought a speed loader which works well. Butler Creek high-capacity magazines are spotty. If there's a better semi auto 22 on the market I haven't found it.

This was my first ever rifle I bought it back in November of 2016 and it hasn't let me down in terms of any thing breaking.
I've had a few jams but those were days where I've been shooting all day and I was approaching 1000 rounds.
There is one thing I do not like and that's the diamond sights I'll probably upgrade this rifle with a scope and I recommend getting a scope or a red dot because these sights aren't the best.
However all in all it's a solid rifle and I recommend it to any first time owner

I've had this rifle for at least several months now and I am very pleased with this purchase. The front sights are very precise and ideal for long range targets. Have not used a scope yet but I'd imagine it would take any scope and a very far target at ease.

I bought this for a Gopher gun and out of the box, my first shot I got one and then 2 more to follow. 3 for 3... Its super light and easy to handle. Holding free hand and shooting no problem. I plan to add a scope at a later date but so far I'm a happy camper.

Have had this gun for about 5 months and have probably shot at least 30 clips with it (300 bullets) and I haven't had a single misfire. Also, iron sights came very accurate straight out of the box. Very happy with it:)

The classic. Anyone looking for a .22 should definitely consider a 10/22. Purchased some aftermarket parts from Volquartsen that make this gun even better.

After reading previous reviews I was looking forward to my new Ruger stainless 10/22 online purchase. When I fired the rifle for the first time I got feed jams on every round. I am quite dissapointed with this purchase and expected better quality. Are these rifles not fire tested at the factory? QA’d? I cannot recommend this rifle as I expect a working product when I purchase new.

This is the most inaccurate rifle I have ever had. 4 - 6" groups @ 50 yards. Tried federal, winchester, cci and remington ammos, and reinstalled the scope. It can Not shot smaller than 4" group at 50 yards. Asked 6 guys have the same gun, 5 had the same grouping result, other 1 can shot 2" at 50yards. Never buy ruger again. The picture shows 5 groups at 50 yards. shot looks like a shotgun.

I was very happy to acquire this gun last year on sale as I has always wanted a 10/22. I have had a Savage 64b stainless for a few many years and while I like the Savage it has a few feed and other quality issues.
I need to state that the reason that I buy the stainless version of any gun is strictly for the ability to handle wet conditions without special treatment. This has been the case with the Savage, I've used it in the rain many many times. A good statement for it would be that it's been "rode hard and put away wet"! Many times without any corrosion whatsoever.
My Gun room can at times be a little humid as well. I actively oil my steel guns and have a special safe with a dehumidifier in it. My stainless guns don't get that level of treatment.
When I checked on the ruger 10/22 yesterday I noticed some rust spots on the barrel! And that is just from the slight humidity in my gun room. I've not had this problem with my steel guns as long as I wipe them down with a clean oiled cloth a couple times a year. But I don't generally do this with my stainless guns and I shouldn't have to.
This ruger 10/22 stainless was 400 onsale, twice as much as the stainless Savages regular price. For this reason I no longer recommend the Ruger 10/22 stainless. The entire appeal of a stainless gun is for the stainless part! They cost more to buy so you're supposed to get more usability and versatility then a regular one.

If you don’t own one of these something is wrong with you. I run this one with Stingers. No jams. Rotary clip works, deadly accurate and durable. I have a Swarovski 3x9x36 Z3 on my. The scope cost double the gun and the gun deserves it. Freezer is always full of rabbit and grouse. Buy this gun.
Don’t mistake this one for the take down.

Tony ca . You guys gotta learn to bore sight and then fine tune your scope in. At 50 yards i can shoot 1/2 " groups or less , and some of my bud's can almost put hole in hole. cant believe four friends all report that the gun is so in accurate... unless possibly your shooting free hand ?? Off a bench they are tack drivers.

I bought this gun last year and have fired many rounds through it. The only bad thing I have to say about it is that about every 100 shots it jams. I have oiled it and it seems to jam less often now. But overall it is a great gun.

Picked this one up around a month ago. This is my first firearm and I haven't experienced any feeding or extracting problems. great for gophers, mine runs excellent off of just bulk ammo. Iron sights in my opinion are clean and easy to lineup. Haven't added anything aftermarket although there is a large variety of stocks, triggers, barrels etc. Great little gun no issues!

I purchased this gun about 3 months ago and have put about 2500 rounds through it so far. The only ammo I shoot is cheap bulk ammo, brand doesn’t matter, this rifle loves them all. After sighting it in I had groups the size of a nickel at 50 yards.
Had to give it 4 stars due to the factory trigger, it was horrible probably 3/4 inch travel and a 7 lb pull. I swapped it out for the Ruger aftermarket BX trigger. now the trigger is tight and a 2.5 lb pull. Shooting and calling your shot on gophers at 60 yards all day!
