I haven't owned a .22 since I was a kid. Given that ammo & shooting is getting so ridiculously expensive, I decided to get a 'plinker'. After doing some reading online, I settled on the Ruger 10/22.
I have put a couple hundred rounds through it without a problem. I bought the carbine model as it was on sale and just love the way it looks & feels.
It is a tack driver out of the box. My wife was shooting steels ping, ping, ping, ping. And had a big grin on her face the whole time.
I have mounted a Vortex scope on it (it was on sale) and I'm looking forward to punching the centre out of many a target.

Picked this one up around a month ago. This is my first firearm and I haven't experienced any feeding or extracting problems. great for gophers, mine runs excellent off of just bulk ammo. Iron sights in my opinion are clean and easy to lineup. Haven't added anything aftermarket although there is a large variety of stocks, triggers, barrels etc. Great little gun no issues!

Bought this about a year ago now and put a couple thousand rounds threw it and haven't had and jams even with the cheapest quality ammo i could find this is the perfect rimfire for any occasion.

I Purchased a Ruger 22 3 weeks ago. Out of the box did not fire, do to the safety. Called/ emailed bass pro, Ruger customer service,The CEO of Ruger Christopher J. Killoy no response.
So I called Ruger Canadian repair centre both of them out of Quebec & Ontario Provincial Police to which the officer agreed with me to write a review.
After following instructions over the phone from Ruger Canadian repair centres. I was informed step by step how to fix my safety. My firearm now shoots while the safety is ON. The technician explained how the issue with the trigger assembly has been on going for over a year.
3 weeks my firearm is still not functional. Zero assistance/help from Ruger or Bass Pro.
The lesson I just learned. DO NOT PURCHASE A RUGER.

This is and always has been one of the best .22 rifles you can buy but this is way over priced. I just bought one two days ago for $120.00 cheaper. Shop around. Yes it was the sporter deluxe not the carbine

I bought this gun on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at the Harrisburg store. The four headless screws that must be removed to mount a scope were painted over. The screw slots were jammed with paint and the paint also sealed them in place. Now I must take it to a UPS Customer Service Center. Can't take it to a normal UPS store that is close by. It must be shipped in a plain box...no Ruger or firearm identification. Do you have a box like this lying around at your house?
Rugger says they have made 8 million 10/22 rifles, but they still haven't figured out how to do it right. Eight million rifles without process control and quality assurance! Maybe they should hire a Manufacturing Engineer who actually has an Engineering degree. Am I ticked off? You can't imagine how mad I am about this.

The stock buttplate on this rifle is cheap plastic and very uncomfortable, out of the box , I had to order rubber buttplate and leather to make it tolerable

Purchased this for my son and I to shoot at the range, shot over 100 rounds through it without any issue. I definitely recommend getting the 25 round magazines as you can go through a mag pretty fast. I had four 25 round magazines loaded before we go. The 10 round magazine is a bit hard to load but worked fine as well. First rifle so not sure how to compare with other 22LR rifles, choose this one due to the good reviews and think it was a good choice.

Having tried many rimfire semi-auto rifles before, this rifle excels in pretty much anything you would wish from the otherwise sketchy category in terms of reliability. This one shines!! And the paint job is very subtle too. It cycles even subsonic ammo with ease. Not a single issue after hundreds upon hundreds of rounds of standard velocity through it.

Bass Pro had the best price and exceptional customer service from employee Alex Grassi during transfer and checkout at the Grapevine Tx. location. Professional attention to detail and safety...couldn't be better. THANKS MUCH..!!

Great rifle. Purchased for teenage daughter. Fits her well and she enjoyed shooting it. Feels solid and well made not cheap like other .22s on the market today.

If you don't have one of these get one. Those of us that do would easily recommend this affordable, economical, accurate and just plain fun rifle over any of it's competitors. Hands down best overall 22lr.

They are certainly not the rifle that they were years ago, more plastic, cheaper wood stock, time will tell how it holds up.

Can't wait to use it for what I bought it for. I need practice in hitting the target. Bullets are a little hard to put into the magazine but may get easier with time. It is not heavy.

There’s something about a Plain-Jane 10/22 that brings back a lot of memories. From owning your first semi-auto to teaching your kids how to shoot and they in turn owning one; you can’t beat the basics.

I bought this 10/22 months ago but did not put a review in. After a solid cleaning and 400+ rounds later I had zero issues. It ran flawlessly.

Excellent weapon. Shoots extremely well and operates smoothly. Just sighted it in and the last three shots were touching holes at 50 yards. Very pleased with the rifle.

I purchased this gun about 3 months ago and have put about 2500 rounds through it so far. The only ammo I shoot is cheap bulk ammo, brand doesn’t matter, this rifle loves them all. After sighting it in I had groups the size of a nickel at 50 yards.
Had to give it 4 stars due to the factory trigger, it was horrible probably 3/4 inch travel and a 7 lb pull. I swapped it out for the Ruger aftermarket BX trigger. now the trigger is tight and a 2.5 lb pull. Shooting and calling your shot on gophers at 60 yards all day!

I bought this same model from Bass Pro back in 2004. The rifle still shoots very well to this day. These are built to last. The birch wood stock is a perfect match for this rifle. 18" is the perfect barrel length for this kind of rifle. You can add a pic rail, a red dot, scope, or just shoot irons.

I have a 13 year old daughter that wanted to join me on the range. After teaching her how to manipulate the rifle for safety and teaching her range safety she was up and out shooting within minutes. Easy cleaning, shoots all 22LR ammo we have been throwing at it with fairly adequate accuracy. Light and easy to maintain.
A new nick everytime
