Most fun you can have in New York state. Well made. Nice looking stock. Stainless is a nice touch. 200 rounds and no issues so far. Would have given five stars if the trigger was a little lighter and funtional 10rnd mags we're a thing. Five round factory mag works great. Ruger 10rnd mags didn't fit in the mag well. Pro mag 10 rounders won't feed if loaded with more than 8 or 9 rounds. Overall it's a well made reliable gun.

Pleased with this rifle. The action is very robust as you would expect. The stock is birch, I think. Nice straight grain. Looks good. Recoil is light. I think anyone could shoot this comfortably. Good step up from a 22 for newer shooters. Yet as a life long shooter I find this to be one of my favorite firearms.

I was in the military, and shot both the m14 and the m16, so having the mini 14 is alot more fun for me to shoot than an ar style, but that just me. i compete against myself when shooting, so i am always tring to improve. I really like the looks of the stainless, with the wooden hand guard, it just has an overall old school look to it. mine is the newer series (thicker barrel) it has a nice triger pull, just under 5lbs. i have not had any issues with the rifle, and it can shoot and has shot all the types of 223 and 556 that i have bought, so no waste there.

great all around rifle. very reliable so far, and accurate. Classic look, love that it's available in wood/stainless. FYI the stainless is more of a matte, it's not very shiny. I don't think anyone would regret

The Ruger Mini-14 is a beautiful small caliber rifle. It is highly accurate, and a joy to shoot. The 18 in. barrel makes it easy to handle also. My only issue, minor issue, is the rifle is not easy to disassemble. Not a big deal though. I recommend this rifle to anyone who loves to shoot .223 caliber, and is tired of the AR platform. I wish I could give it six stars.

An absolutely amazing rifle!! It was dead on accurate to 100 yards straight out of the box. I fired over 250 rounds of assorted .223 and 5.56 ammo without any issues at all. I COULDN'T be happier about my purchase! Well, unless Ruger comes out with a self-cleaning rifle????

i've aLWAYS LOVED MY M1, BUT IT'S HEAVY AND BUYING 30-06 IS PRICEY THESE DAYS. THE MINI 14 HAS ALWAYS CAUGHT MY EYE DUE TO IT'S GREAT TRADITIONAL LOOK. THE UPGRADES RUGER HAS MADE TO ACCURACY ADDED TO THE APPEAL. FINALLY PULLED THE TRIGGER AND THE NEW RIFLE HAS BEEN MOSTLY GREAT. oNLY REAL ISSUES HAVE BEEN WITH THE SIGHTS. tHE FRONT SIGHT IS DIFFICULT TO PICK UP IN LOW LIGHT CONDITIONS. i ENDED UP TOUCHING IT UP WITH SOME GLO-PAINT TO MAKE IT POP FOR ME. tHE REAR SIGHT IS … Read More

really like this rifle. Excellent fit, form, and function. Easy to shoot and break down for cleaning. magazine release function is a little sticky but i think this is just a part of the break-in process. as usual great buying experience with grabagun.

Although I haven't shot it yet, I couldn't be happier with the way it looks and I'm very happy that it's 5.56. Perfect size round for a Ranch Rifle (IMHO). Can't wait to put it on paper and see where the sights are straight out of the box. I bought ten extra magazines for it.

I had a 5847 Mini-14 but sold it a few years back because I always wanted a wood/stainless model. Well I now have one. I do wished the stainless looked a bit smoother but that's OK, supposedly the stainless version of the Mini-14's don't look real smooth. I did add an Ultimak scout rail and a Burris FastFire 3 reflex sight along with a couple other tricks. Love the results. It now shoots PMC Bronze 55 gr in 1.25" groups @100 yds from the bench, and that is plenty good for me. Really like this rifle. Was quick to jump on it when I seen it on Palmetto a month ago.
