The bolt action is extremely smooth vs. other brands on the market. Above and beyond the gun was the level of service i received from Tony C. at the Grandville, MI location! I brought the gun back in the next day after noticing an issue with the scope mount. Tony met me at the front door and took me back to the gun department where he met with leadership and handled the whole situation with an apology, a new scope and upgraded rings! His customer service was amazing and beyond belief in today's world! Thank you Tony and Cabela's!

The rifle would not cycle factory rounds through the magazine so the rifle has not been fired.I tried another new magazine same issue. I called RUGER and authorized number was given to send the rifle back to them with a 15 day turnaround time.

I own both 6.5 and 300 PRC rifles. The PRC line of magnum cartridges are well engineered for optimal efficiency employing max ballistic coefficient bullets ( fast twist rifling required) for super accuracy w/ minimal barrel wear. The 7MM PRC intrigued me. I purchased the Ruger “Go Wild” 7 MM PRC because of the Ruger name, The firearm configuration, the 7MM PRC cartridge option, and price. My first impression of the rifle was during cleaning, scope mounting, and inspecting the 7MM PRC. I noted excellent quality and workmanship for a supposed Budget class firearm. The Ruger build was solid and was anatomically correct for my build (6’ 1”). The only negative I could find was while cleaning the rifle. The barrel was very dirty compared to other new rifles I have purchased. It wasn’t powder dirty. I believe it was post machining dirty. The minor inconvenience was resolved with a good cleaning. I ensured the rifle chambered factory rounds as advertised. Testing the Ruger “Go Wild” 7 MM PRC at the range. I had read a few concerning articles stating, the “Go Wild in 7mm PRC” had just O.K. accuracy or less than advertised accuracy at 100 Yards (using Hornady Factory ammo). This is absolutely NOT TRUE in my personal experience!!! Please note the attached target picture. I took the first shot (with the new Ruger) to zero my scope. After adjusting the scope, the second, third (¼” center to center), and fourth shots (3/4” center to center w/ the other two shots) were in the bullseye. Unfortunately, I believe I slightly pulled the fourth shot (not the rifle’s fault). This is phenomenal accuracy from a brand new rifle w/ only 4 shots down the tube, no barrel break-in, and using Hornady factory 175 grain ELDX ammunition. What a pleasant surprise!!! I continued to break-in the Ruger 7MM PRC. The rifle continued to preform flawlessly and w/ tack driving accuracy. I placed all following shots in the bullseye and kill zone on Elk targets w/ ease. My buddy tried my Ruger. His first shot was a dead-center bullseye. He said, “ I like shooting your rifle better than my 300 win mag.” The rifle is what I consider a light weight “Mountain Rifle.” Speaking of light weight, the built-in muzzle break ensures minimal recoil for the magnum cartridge (feels less than a 243). The Desert Camo and barrel coating is great for the forest, brush, or Desert. The Ruger “Go Wild” 7 MM PRC combines features, quality, and accuracy found in higher-end rifles at an extremely reasonable price. Excellent Job Ruger!!!!

Great gun with very little kick. But very loud with the mussel break and a little on the heavy side with a gun scope for wife to carry. It does shoot great.

I purchased this as my very first rifle and I couldn’t be more happy with my pick. After a ton of research and feedback from some good friends I picked this which was within my budget. The overall feel for me is consistancy with accuracy and easy to handle. I found that the best grain for me is 139, 150 was just a bit too heavy and the 120 was too light. Hopefully this info saves some a few rounds ????????

Easy to adjust trigger. I got mine to the factory minimum, which is about 3 to 3.5 lbs. Fine for a field hunting rifle. Lubed it up, runs smooth out of the box. Got it on sale for $475. Stock could be a bit stiffer. Acceptable for now. Will add some stiffener material to fore end and a bit of weight to the butt stock.

I really like the Go Wild camo pattern. The bronze barrel matches perfect. I have not shot it yet, waiting for ammunition to arrive.

Unfortunately Guns.com sent me the wrong rifle, I am waiting to see how they are going to correct this issue. I would not take delivery of the rifle from FFL. Truly disappointed with Guns.com so far, we will see if they can redeem themselves.

I reluctantly received my Ruger American Predator from the FFL today. They had to clean the gun as they indicated that it was very dirty and dusty. The barrel and stock have rub marks from transport and or moving around a warehouse for some time. The box is comprised in several locations. If I were using this for anything other than it’s intended ...Read More Read more about review stating Poor packaging for shipping

I’ve been looking at these for a while and finally pulled the trigger when the price was right. The one I got was extremely clean although the case accessories weren’t complete (oh well). This gun does take min to sight properly, and like all handguns has its quirks - but I’ve gotten extremely confident in the sight picture. It’s bu...Read More Read more about review stating Worth the money

Easiest gun buying experience ever. Gun.com is awesome. Will definitely buy from them again. Gun was exactly as described and shipping was fast. My receiving FFL was equally awesome.

I ordered here because it was the only one I could find in this model and configuration and within 3 days it was at my local FFL. It came in box no missing parts no dents things or scratches which I do not care about cause this gun is going to get full life of what guns are meant to do

I bought this gun to go hunting out west, so it may not get used a lot but it is still a nice addition to my collection. It’s a beautiful gun with excellent craftsmanship.

Well what can I said. Rugger American are well known for their accuracy. This particular riffle came in with Three - lug bolt with 70 degrees throw. That's along provided plenty big room for your scope. Free float- barrel. It also came in with Marksman adjustable trigger 3 to 5 lbs. But I ordered from MCarbo the adjustable trigger kit that helped ...Read More Read more about review stating It's a Rugger American!!!!

This is a really good gun for a good price. The only problem was I thought I was getting an even better deal. You see, the description had this coupled with a Vortex scope. Only at the bottom, in the specs it said Tasco. I thought I was getting a $160 scope, but instead got an $80 scope. I may have gone for it anyway because of the exceptional pri...Read More Read more about review stating Great starter rifle for a good price.

Awesome firearm, clean smooth action. Highly recommend for those that hunt big game out west. Lighter than what I thought it would be, chose the Ruger model over several others because of the reputation of ruger guns.

Haven’t been able to shoot it yet as ammunition for the 7mm -08 is in very short supply and it is very expensive at this time. This could be the reason for great price. Have to stick with my 270 as there’s plenty of expensive ammo available for it.
