The rifle would not cycle factory rounds through the magazine so the rifle has not been fired.I tried another new magazine same issue. I called RUGER and authorized number was given to send the rifle back to them with a 15 day turnaround time.

I own both 6.5 and 300 PRC rifles. The PRC line of magnum cartridges are well engineered for optimal efficiency employing max ballistic coefficient bullets ( fast twist rifling required) for super accuracy w/ minimal barrel wear. The 7MM PRC intrigued me. I purchased the Ruger “Go Wild” 7 MM PRC because of the Ruger name, The firearm configuration, the 7MM PRC cartridge option, and price. My first impression of the rifle was during cleaning, scope mounting, and inspecting the 7MM PRC. I noted excellent quality and workmanship for a supposed Budget class firearm. The Ruger build was solid and was anatomically correct for my build (6’ 1”). The only negative I could find was while cleaning the rifle. The barrel was very dirty compared to other new rifles I have purchased. It wasn’t powder dirty. I believe it was post machining dirty. The minor inconvenience was resolved with a good cleaning. I ensured the rifle chambered factory rounds as advertised. Testing the Ruger “Go Wild” 7 MM PRC at the range. I had read a few concerning articles stating, the “Go Wild in 7mm PRC” had just O.K. accuracy or less than advertised accuracy at 100 Yards (using Hornady Factory ammo). This is absolutely NOT TRUE in my personal experience!!! Please note the attached target picture. I took the first shot (with the new Ruger) to zero my scope. After adjusting the scope, the second, third (¼” center to center), and fourth shots (3/4” center to center w/ the other two shots) were in the bullseye. Unfortunately, I believe I slightly pulled the fourth shot (not the rifle’s fault). This is phenomenal accuracy from a brand new rifle w/ only 4 shots down the tube, no barrel break-in, and using Hornady factory 175 grain ELDX ammunition. What a pleasant surprise!!! I continued to break-in the Ruger 7MM PRC. The rifle continued to preform flawlessly and w/ tack driving accuracy. I placed all following shots in the bullseye and kill zone on Elk targets w/ ease. My buddy tried my Ruger. His first shot was a dead-center bullseye. He said, “ I like shooting your rifle better than my 300 win mag.” The rifle is what I consider a light weight “Mountain Rifle.” Speaking of light weight, the built-in muzzle break ensures minimal recoil for the magnum cartridge (feels less than a 243). The Desert Camo and barrel coating is great for the forest, brush, or Desert. The Ruger “Go Wild” 7 MM PRC combines features, quality, and accuracy found in higher-end rifles at an extremely reasonable price. Excellent Job Ruger!!!!

Enjoyed with my new .450 Bushmaster 'Go Wild' camo American rifle. It's a beauty thing. I also added a new Thompson Center camo scope on it. Haven't fire one yet, but soon as weather warms up in Northeast.

I really like the cerakote finish and camo on this gun...sets it apart from the standard green and blue barrel version. Also, the extra six inches gets the blast a bit further away from the shooter, and out the window of the blind more. Shot a doe with the standard Ruger 450 last winter (my brother in law's gun)...never took a step...huge exit wound. Put a Vortex Crossfire BDC scope on this gun and shot out to 325 yards. Looking forward to deer sason 2019!

Feels great. Looks great. Shoots amazing. Surprised really for the price. Only issue is it sometimes fails to feed the second round appropriately. I can see why people prefer Controlled Feed, especially if I were using this against something more aggressive than a deer. Great deer rifle, bad bear rifle. Great for being able to hunt anywhere in Michigan, which was my primary reason for purchase. First shot took the ???? straight down

Bought go wild for hunting sw mich were allowed to use .35 cal & up straight walled cartridge no more than 1.8 in case length,.357, .44 .45 .50 pistol cartridges and newer 350 legend and 450 bushmaster out of all I picked 450 what a blessing for a previous shogun zone. Guns amazingly accurate, cerakote has not even a scratch, stock has retained all camo. Hornady ftx 250 gr. Best load for my rifle.shot 6 deer with it. From 18yds to 172 yds none went more than 35 yds and over half zero yds.only

Fantastic rifle, and dead accurate ! I love it. Killed 2 deer already first season used. Holding groups inside a quarter at 100 yards. Leupold makes a scope especially for this gun, model 176011.

My daughter and I purchased this for her husband, the look on his face when opening was great!
He really likes the gun, said he thinks he's good out to 150 after first box of shells through it.
We put a Vortex Diamondback 4-12x40 on it and he's very happy.
Now it's my turn to upgrade

I have shoot two deer with this gun this year. One at 154 yard and a nice buck at 162 yards. I sighted it in at 100 yards. The first deer was a doe, I raised it up 6 inches and hit it in the spin dropped in its tracks. The second one I put the cross hairs on the shoulder just behind and hit the top of the heart and lungs. It went 20 yards and dropped. Make sure you purchase steel scope rings and a good scope! This gun will destroy cheep rings and scope! I love this gun!

Groupings aren't the greatest, shooting 150gr. Read that heavier rounds usually do better with this specific rifle, going to try 180gr and see how they group
