Ruger’s American Rifle offers minute-of-angle accuracy that can make every hunt a success. The one-piece, three-lug bolt with 70 degree throw provides ample scope clearance and utilizes a full diameter bolt body and dual cocking cams for smooth, easy cycling. Its patent-pending Power Bedding, integral bedding block system positively locates the receiver and free-floats the barrel for outstanding accuracy. The ergonomic, lightweight synthetic stock with soft rubber buttpad is designed for quick, easy handling and blends a classic look with modern forend contouring and grip serrations. The American Rifle also has a Ruger Marksman adjustable trigger, cold hammer-forged barrel, and a tang safety.

2 years agoGood: Lightweight, seems well built, accurate for the price about 1.25 MOA with federal American eagle. Bad: The action is poor and when feeding ammo it binds, every time. Probably would not buy it again.

2 years agoThe Bolt felt a little rough at first but after cycling the action a couple hundred time it very nice. Shoots good and would recommend it. Grabagun was also super easy to buy.

2 years agoAbsolutely great rifle! Put a vortex scope on it and I’m shooting Hornady superformance ammo, at 100 yards I’m shooting quarter inch groups great rifle for the price and super accurate

2 years agoEh. UndecideD. It doesn’t seem to want to group that great. Could be the ammo im usiNg, but also only shooting 100 yards.

1 year agoI absolutely LOVE this rifle. The medium profile barrel makes it light enough to carry on most hunts, but heavy enough to fire a decent string at the range before heating up. As with every Ruger American that i have bought, this thing is lights-out accurate with almost every load i have tried. I’ve handloaded some 36 grain Barnes VarmInt Grenade bullets to 3700 fps and they are instant soul stOppers on coyotes and bobcats. This rifle has a 1-7 twist rate to handle the heavier stuff, but i … Read More

1 year agoIt’s ok. I wanted to play with a short 16 inch barrel 1 in 8 twist 223 to try some heavy bullet weights but did not want to spend a lot of money. I bought the long barrel to get the green stock then cut and treaded it. With a nice custom crown job it shoots sub MOA and with the trigger screw backed all the way out the trigger is light but long. The bolt drags and is gritty despite cleaning and lube. The rounds feed hard out of the magazine. But the accuracy will allow me to work up test loads, so good enuf.

1 year agoHas all the features i was looking for. A Heavy tapered & threaded barrel, adjustable Trigger, and detachable magazine. However the bolt was everything but smooth. Very rough machining. I took it to a friend who is a gunsmith who smoothed it out.

1 year agoSeems to be a good gun out of the box working on trigger weight and grouping should be good once the kinks are worked out

1 year agoUnfortunately Guns.com sent me the wrong rifle, I am waiting to see how they are going to correct this issue. I would not take delivery of the rifle from FFL. Truly disappointed with Guns.com so far, we will see if they can redeem themselves.

1 year agoI reluctantly received my Ruger American Predator from the FFL today. They had to clean the gun as they indicated that it was very dirty and dusty. The barrel and stock have rub marks from transport and or moving around a warehouse for some time. The box is comprised in several locations. If I were using this for anything other than it’s intended ...Read More Read more about review stating Poor packaging for shipping

1 year agoI purchased this Gun on Tuesday and had the gun in my hands by Friday, I’m extremely happy with how fast Guns.com process and shipped the gun, can’t wait to take it to the range and plink some targets, thanks

1 year agoI’ve been looking at these for a while and finally pulled the trigger when the price was right. The one I got was extremely clean although the case accessories weren’t complete (oh well). This gun does take min to sight properly, and like all handguns has its quirks - but I’ve gotten extremely confident in the sight picture. It’s bu...Read More Read more about review stating Worth the money

1 year agoEasiest gun buying experience ever. Gun.com is awesome. Will definitely buy from them again. Gun was exactly as described and shipping was fast. My receiving FFL was equally awesome.

1 year agoI ordered here because it was the only one I could find in this model and configuration and within 3 days it was at my local FFL. It came in box no missing parts no dents things or scratches which I do not care about cause this gun is going to get full life of what guns are meant to do

1 year agoI bought this gun to go hunting out west, so it may not get used a lot but it is still a nice addition to my collection. It’s a beautiful gun with excellent craftsmanship.

1 year agoWell what can I said. Rugger American are well known for their accuracy. This particular riffle came in with Three - lug bolt with 70 degrees throw. That's along provided plenty big room for your scope. Free float- barrel. It also came in with Marksman adjustable trigger 3 to 5 lbs. But I ordered from MCarbo the adjustable trigger kit that helped ...Read More Read more about review stating It's a Rugger American!!!!

1 year agoThis is a really good gun for a good price. The only problem was I thought I was getting an even better deal. You see, the description had this coupled with a Vortex scope. Only at the bottom, in the specs it said Tasco. I thought I was getting a $160 scope, but instead got an $80 scope. I may have gone for it anyway because of the exceptional pri...Read More Read more about review stating Great starter rifle for a good price.

1 year agoIts a Good accurate rifle at a affordable price shoots groups sub moa at 100 yards recoil is not bad with the factory muzzle break, I paired it with a Vortex viper pst 5x25 50mm ebr2c scope, amazing combo, also have it in a 6.5 creedmoor and shoots the same way

1 year agoAwesome firearm, clean smooth action. Highly recommend for those that hunt big game out west. Lighter than what I thought it would be, chose the Ruger model over several others because of the reputation of ruger guns.
