Ruger American Predator .223 Rem Bolt-Action Rifle, Moss Green – 26944

Good: Lightweight, seems well built, accurate for the price about 1.25 MOA with federal American eagle. Bad: The action is poor and when feeding ammo it binds, every time. Probably would not buy it again.

The Bolt felt a little rough at first but after cycling the action a couple hundred time it very nice. Shoots good and would recommend it. Grabagun was also super easy to buy.

Absolutely great rifle! Put a vortex scope on it and I’m shooting Hornady superformance ammo, at 100 yards I’m shooting quarter inch groups great rifle for the price and super accurate

I absolutely LOVE this rifle. The medium profile barrel makes it light enough to carry on most hunts, but heavy enough to fire a decent string at the range before heating up. It’s ok. I wanted to play with a short 16 inch barrel 1 in 8 twist 223 to try some heavy bullet weights but did not want to spend a lot of money. I bought the long barrel to get the green stock then cut and treaded it. With a nice custom crown job it shoots sub MOA and with the trigger screw backed all the way out the trigger is light but long. The bolt drags and is gritty despite cleaning and lube. The rounds feed hard out of the magazine. But the accuracy will allow me to work up test loads, so good enuf.

Has all the features i was looking for. A Heavy tapered & threaded barrel, adjustable Trigger, and detachable magazine. However the bolt was everything but smooth. Very rough machining. I took it to a friend who is a gunsmith who smoothed it out.

Seems to be a good gun out of the box working on trigger weight and grouping should be good once the kinks are worked out

Unfortunately Guns.com sent me the wrong rifle, I am waiting to see how they are going to correct this issue. I would not take delivery of the rifle from FFL. Truly disappointed with Guns.com so far, we will see if they can redeem themselves.

I reluctantly received my Ruger American Predator from the FFL today. They had to clean the gun as they indicated that it was very dirty and dusty. The barrel and stock have rub marks from transport and or moving around a warehouse for some time. The box is comprised in several locations. I bought this gun to go hunting out west, so it may not get used a lot but it is still a nice addition to my collection. It’s a beautiful gun with excellent craftsmanship.

Well what can I said. Rugger American are well known for their accuracy. This particular riffle came in with Three - lug bolt with 70 degrees throw. Its a Good accurate rifle at a affordable price shoots groups sub moa at 100 yards recoil is not bad with the factory muzzle break, I paired it with a Vortex viper pst 5x25 50mm ebr2c scope, amazing combo, also have it in a 6.5 creedmoor and shoots the same way

Awesome firearm, clean smooth action. Highly recommend for those that hunt big game out west. Lighter than what I thought it would be, chose the Ruger model over several others because of the reputation of ruger guns.
