I love this gun I got the 308 with the 18in barrel perfect size for where I hunt shoots like a charm right out of the box the bolt was a little grity so I sanded it down with 2000grit and it's like butter now took 10min

I am extremely pleased with this rifle. It shoots better than advertised and as well as many much more expensive rifles. I have been shooting Fiochhi Extrema .223 loaded with 50 grain Barnes Varmint Grenades, and the rifle really seems to like this bullet. With careful shooting it is grouping at MOA or better. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the AR style magazine, but so far so good, and there has been zero feed issues. I like the extra capacity afforded by the AR Mag. I have nothing but good to say about the Ruger American line of rifles. I also own one in .22 LR, and it too is a lights out shooter. These rifles represent an excellent value per dollar spent.

I purchased this rifle and put a scope combination on it. the main scope ranges out to 320yrds. the optical scope is set at 150yrds and the red dot laser scope is set at 50yrds. everything performed very well and three shot grouping at 320yrds was 2.0 inches. I added camo this rifle and installed a bi-pod. same ballistics as my 300 win. mag with 1/5th the recoil. part available very reasonably priced from authorized Ruger Canada vendor. recommended to friends and family. Amazing Deer rifle.

Used mine in .243 for the last 2 seasons and have taken 3 Whitetails confidently with it. The 5R rifling and heavy barrel make it a tack driver right out of the box, which is unusual at such an affordable price point.
I continue to recommend it to family members and friends, and recommend it to you too!

I was looking for a deer rifle, read all the reviews and decided to give the Router a try. I was always sold on their hand guns. The 6.5 creedmore was incredible in this rifle. I added a 3 piece scope. My main scope is a 16x40 which I grouped 3 shots at 318 yards 1.75 inches. My optic LTE scope is set for 150 yards and the laser scope is for close quarters at 50 yards. With a bi-pod this rifle is amazing. Now my wife wants one. Perfect gift for a perfect hunting partner.

Nice gun - love the heavy barrel. Filled the stock with silicon to get rid of the hollow sound. Highly recommend.

Bought this in 204 Ruger. On the first outing with a medium quality scope I had three 1/2" 5-shot groups at 100 yards. The stock is cheap looking but does the job, the new AI magazine has a loose fit but seems to function OK, I had one chambering issue in 50 rounds.
32gr VMax, 26gr Barnes and 24gr Hornady's all shot well, I did not try any heavier bullets but with that 12 twist it should favor the lighter bullets.

Needed three shots to adjust the scope on 50 meters my boys were targeting Coke bottles on 200 m. they did not miss the first day first ammo box Hornady 6.5 creedmoor 129gr.interLock . After 200+ rounds plus all kinds of different ammunition she is still spot on . My rifle does prefer the 130gr. bullets.

picked up a Ruger American Predator in .243 to keep in the truck when I have the kids with me and to use for coyote in the winter. Topped it with a 4-12x44 vortex scope. Put a box through it at the range and had 1" groups at 200 yards with Hornady whitetail 100 gr rounds. I just wanted a gun to take a beating, one that I would not fuss over if it got nicked or scratched, and a decent caliber for the kids to shoot when the time comes.
Great gun for the money, great caliber.

This was a Father’s Day gift & it turned out to be an amazing rifle! I’ve got it in 6.5 Creedmoor & I’m shooting .75” groups at 100 yards all day, I’m not even an experienced shooter.
But this gun is just great, even the cheap stock isn’t to bad. I picked this up with the 4-12x40 Crossfire 2 as a package deal. I never had a chance to shoot 1000yds but I’ve shot coffee cups @ 600 yards with ease!

This gun man, first off it was the magazine. It came with a rotary magazine and simply didn't work, ever. It would send 2 bullets up every time usually breaking the tips off them. Emailed Ruger who sent off my info to a third party who then sent me a stack magazine. It works a lot better but I still have log jams from time to time. Second, it must be old at heart because sometimes the firing pin don't come out all the way. I've had animals lined up and all you hear is "CLICK" them " **** THIS GUN". And third and I hope from now on its only third.. sometimes it wont chamber the round. I mean the bolt simply wont lock into place. I wont tell you what to do with your money but I will say that this gun has broken my heart more times than its stopped one.

If I could give it a negative rating I would. I have no trouble shooting 3/4” groups at 100 yards with my tikka 7 mm rem mag. This ruger 22-250 is more like throwing rocks. I’ve tried 4 different brands of ammo and the best groups I can shoot are 4”. Using a vortex viper 4x12 scope. So disappointed in this purchase. Bought it for 300-400 yard coyote hunting. Should have bought a slingshot, at least I would be able to meet expectations.

I bought this rifle roughly 7 months ago, don’t get me wrong, the gun can shoot but the bolt has a terrible time retracting the casing and when cycling new rounds it seems to jam the casing into the top of the chamber when pushing the bolt forward, jamming it up.
Worst gun I own hands down.

I’ve had the Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor for a year now. It consistently shoots sub MOA with both factory ammo and custom loads. I find it works best with 129 grain Hornady Whitetail rounds if you go with factory ammo. I’ve got a Vortex 4x12 crossfire 2 on top and this gun is a tack driver. Highly recommend and for the price it’s a very decent weapon!

I Bought the RAP a month ago. Chambered in 22-250. I have taken it out on a half dozen or so coyote hunts and have shot a good number of coyotes already. I Haven’t had any issues with it so far but being a Tikka fan (that’s what my other rifles are) I have to be honest I’m not a huge fan of the trigger on the Ruger. Maybe it will grow on me, time will tell. Other then that it seems to be a good rifle. I haven’t had any issues chambering or ejecting rounds like i have read in other posts.

I have not taken it out to shoot yet, but going over everything it seems to be a pretty good rifle. The bolt handle is a little small and stock is flimsy, but all can be upgraded in time. 6.5 ammo right now is a little harder to find than .308 (7.62x51) but from all the reviews the 6.5 is a slightly superior round (opinion).

This firearm is exceptionally accurate out of the box.. my reloads are shooting under 1 inch at 200 yards yes 200yds not a typo... but I would subtract 1/2 a star for difficulty adjusting trigger.. on what planet was it a good idea to put one of the 2 screws to remove the stock under the mag release.. and this little tool to help remove mag release was suppose to be in the box but guess what!! You guessed it. It wasn't their... over all very happy buy it's the little things that make the consumer feel like he made a wise choice..

I bought this in 6.5 a while ago and finally got to use it a few days ago to shoot a moose. 1 shot and it was all over. I have had it at the range and at 250 meters, it was center hits all day. My moose was only a 100 meters, but with 140 grain hornaday, it was all over.

This 6.5 Creedmoor is my 5th caliber of Ruger American rifle. (Also have.243, .223, .300 blk and .450 bushmaster). All are accurate for my varying needs (max 300 yds and under), take the abuse I give, are easy to clean, and all suppress quite well. You cannot beat this rifle for the price.
