1 year agoBought this in Feb 2020, didn't get around to shooting it UNTIL may 2020. Dropped a vortex 4-12 scope and a "value packed" bipod on it. Sighted in quickly and appears accurate. The 9 shot magazine that comes with it works well, but is difficult for my fat fingers to get out. The optional ruger 15 shot mag is much better to use. i am hoping to take PRAIRIE dogs out to around 200 yards. 17hmr ammo is affordable. I like it.

1 year agoMy Ruger American doesn't Fire every time with 4 different types of 17 HMR ammo. Look like the firing pin doesn't hit the round every time hard enough. Some fire, but most don't. If I put the round in again single shot, it will fire most round after that. Some times it takes a couple of try's.

1 year agoAwesome gun highly accurate but had problems immediately bolt was dragging on rear of recevier and caused gouging on bolt entrance to recevier had to send it into Ruger they buffed out the damaged areas and replace the bolt only to get the gun back and have the new 2nd Bolt which was deformed and made firearm not cycle properly had to send back for a second time. Quality-control is horrible

1 year agoExcellent it was a little bit heavy on the trigger pull but it adjusted out to about 3 pounds and 5 ounces now it's perfect, love the flush to stock rotary clip, shoot's good too.

1 year agoLove this rifle! Just dialed in a scope on it today. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because after about 150 or so TNT rounds, it started failing on me. I haven’t worked on it or cleaned it yet, but I’m wondering if the bolt was simply getting too dirty. Either way, it’s a very nice rifle.

1 year agoI put a Vortex Crossfire II scope on it and got her dialed in to 1/2 groupings at 100 yards. I had a blast shooting over the weekend with this gun. This thing looks great, and the bolt is butter smooth, and it is surprisingly hefty, definitely a new favorite of mine.

1 year agoIt’s a great rifle having really had time to site it in at the range and it’s knocking down carnitas at 100 yards plus

1 year agoI just received the Ruger American Rimfire LRT, I am very happy with my initial inspection. Waiting for optics to arrive, then it’s off to the range!

1 year agoI really like this rifle. Look great, feels great, very accurate, but as many others have noted in reviews I didn't read before hand, the stock BX-1 magazine sticks inside the stock and is difficult to remove, and the last round ALWAYS will not load. There are sanding and filing solutions I've read about, and will be trying those, but it seems thi...Read More Read more about review stating Great rifle, but...

1 year agoNice rifle. Trigger doesn't adjust down as low as I would like it. Bolt action is smooth. Accuracy is nothing to write home about.

1 year agoAfter trying six different brands of ammo and finding the right brand. At 50 yards I was pleasantly pleased with the brand of choice. 3/8" groups. shot a 243/250 score and 19x's. Enough Said!
