Ruger’s AR-556 MPR rifle has a rifle-length gas system which provides smoother operation and reduces felt recoil. The matte black oxide chrome-plated bolt carrier inside diameter and chrome-plated gas key inside diameter provides exceptional resistance to hot gases. Its lower receiver is fitted with Magpul MOE grip and a Ruger Elite 452 two-stage AR-trigger which offers a smooth, crisp, 4.5 pound trigger pull.

The flattop upper receiver is made from forged aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum, and includes a forward assist, dust cover and brass deflector. Its handguard is free-floating for accuracy and features Magpul M-LOK attachment slots along the 3, 6 and 9 positions. The threaded, cold hammer-forged, 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel with ultra-precise rifling provides exceptional accuracy, longevity and easy cleaning.

The barrel also provides M4 feed ramps which improves operational reliability, while the matte black nitride finish provides corrosion resistance. The AR-556 MPR has a Magpul MOE SL collapsible buttstock on the Mil-Spec buffer tube and includes a 30-round Magpul PMAG.

A friend recommended this rifle and I’m glad he did. After a long search I found one at Sportsman’s Warehouse in Utah. It is worth the drive. The rifle looks and shoots great. Fun to shoot.

I like my Ruger AR556 rifle haven’t used it a lot yet will know more in the spring when the Gophers are out . The service at Sportsman’s Warehouse was great . I showed up at the Helena store on Labor Day 1.5 hours before closing. They got it all ready including A new scope . Thanks Ed B

Fantastic gun for the money! First AR but after shooting with the family a few times it easily competes with the other guns 3x the price of this one. The additional length on this model is extremely comfortable for myself. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a solid rifle at a grear price range.

Very reliable. I have not had any issues with this rifle. Wish it came with some flip up sights from the factory.

Lots of features out of the Box. Good starting point with nice hardware to add all your accessories. Trigger is nice. Not sure you can beat the value and quality at under 900 bucks.

A great well made gun, doesn't feel like an 800 dollar AR. Got 200 rounds through it so far with no hiccups. Pretty accurate from 100 yards away. I was using 62 grain green tip.

I’ve been saving for a year. Then it’s in same. Now I finally have it. I haven’t got the sights yet. I was at the range sighting in my 30.06. The guy next to me was shooting this gun. I asked hire her liked it. Not only did he really like it, his son, an Army Ranger, totally approved it. Enough said.

Fun rifle to shoot, have had long enough to put quite a few rounds through it and have had no problems with any of the ammo used. Hitting iron to 400 yards plus.

Really would like to get one for the wife if they had a lefty. She loves her Ruger 9mm carbine. The spent shells just barely drop out of it. No flying across the face/view.

I really like this rifle. High quality, well made, very accurate. I can easily hit an 8 inch steel target using a 1X prism at 100+ yards almost every time. When I miss, that's on me not the rifle. Easy to shoot well. I am very pleased!

I’m not one for reviewing products, but I was so impressed by this rifle I have share! This is my first AR and I’m glad I chose the Ruger MPR! The accuracy, right out of the box, was incredible! I was printing 1-1.5 inch shots with inexpensive ammo, and I’m not a precision shooter by any means! I love Ruger firearms and am extremely happy with the MPR! Being a rancher, this has made a great “truck gun”!

I had been searching for the American Flag cerakote version of this model and finally scored one on Guns.com. Great transaction and service. The firearm is outstanding and I mounted a bipod and red dot and this thing will hit a bulls eye at 200 yards without any trouble. Ruger makes excellent products and I have several others along with this. The...Read More Read more about review stating Fantastic Machine

I love the Cerakote options that this rifle has. Unfortunately, every gun enthusiast out there feels the same way and they sell out, fast!!! I originally bought the “Rose” AR because it was the only one for sale in the USA. After months of checking numerous sites daily, I finally came across the Frazzled Camo and it was in stock. Guess where? www....Read More Read more about review stating Ruger MPR series are so clean and simple!

My son has a Daniel Defense AR and recommended this Ruger for me. I got a green dot scope because of my 71 year old eyes. This gun is extremally well made and the trigger is amazing. Can't go wrong with this one!

I am not an expert but I would say we got great value for our dollar. The AR looks great. Appears to be made well. My drawbacks would be only one Magazine. Although it is a 30 round mag it would cost next to nothing to include a second one. No front sight. I know most use a scope I prefer open sights. Just my preference.

I spotted this gun on your website and showed it to my wife . She loves the color so I got it for her birthday. We shoot together a lot and she’s extremely happy with it . Great job Guns.com ! You were very good to do business with and I highly recommend you to others .

This AR-15 is the best value around. Good components for the price, 18' barrel for longer range precision. nice trigger. Just needs some kind of optic/sight.
