Ruger M77 Hawkeye Long Range Target Matte Black Bolt Action Rifle – 6.5 PRC – 3+1 Rounds – Ruger’s Hawkeye Rifle has a non-rotating, Mauser-type controlled round feed extractor which features a fixed blade-type ejector that positively ejects the empty cases as the bolt is moved fully rearward. The cold hammer-forged barrel results in ultra-precise rifling which provides exceptional accuracy, longevity and easy cleaning. It also has a three-position safety. The Long Range Target model features a 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel with 5R Rifling, heavy-contour, and a Ruger Precision Rifle Hybrid Muzzle Brake. The two-tone Target stock features two-way adjustable comb, adjustable pull length with soft rubber buttpad, and QD attach points. Its 20 MOA Picatinny rail is secured with four, #8-40 screws for increased long-range elevation capabilities, while integral scope mounts are machined directly on the solid-steel receiver. The Hawkeye Long Range Target also has a two-stage target trigger, rugged one-piece, stainless steel bolt, and ships with one AI-Style five-round magazine. This 6.5PRC model has a 26″ barrel.

1 year agoI love the gun, great look, great caliber. The only drawbacks I've found, the picatinny rail is about 5 1/4" long. Because I mount a dope card holder and an electronic bubble level it needs to be at least an inch longer. This is also a 6.5prc caliber, a long, long distance shooter, it should be offered with a 40 moa picatinny rail or a cheek rvisor with more height adjustment.

1 year agoGreat gun-triggers out of the box is about 1.5lb 1st stage .5lb and 1 lb 2nd stage. Sub half moa group with factory 147 and 1/3 moawith hand loads

1 year agoI have not been able to shoot at any real distance yet but I mounted glass and sighted in at 50 yards and was very happy. Shoots great!

1 year agoI read a lot of good things about the accuracy before purchasing and can say mine is right there with them. Using factory Hornady eld match, i've seen 100 yard groups well under 1/2" and while playing at 1000 yards with a 12"x12" plate was able to hit it regularly despite the wind we had that day.

1 year agoThis gun is worth every penny. I have one in 6.5 prc. The only issue is the muzzle brake. The HYBRID brake that comes with it is for a 30 caliber. I replaced it with a 6.5 BERgara st1 brake and now you barely feel recoil and absolutely no MUZZLE rise.

1 year agoI zeroed this on a shaky bench at a friends house as a quick rough zero before I went out to a real range to dial it in. Even with the Less than perfect rest I nearly had a sub 1" group with Hornady precision hunter 143gr eldx ammo. I completely gacked the trigger on the 2nd shot of the 3 round final group I shot. I'm guessing if I hadn't done that the group would have been in the .8 inch range.
