1 year agoGood for a fun gun but not for self defense. I shot mine a lot and had to go back to Ruger 3 times in 8 months. It was never consistently reliable and something would fail or wear out and start having problems every 600 rounds on average. A quality auto loading pistol will fire several thousand rounds before wearing out. Ruger finally gave up on it and offered me a different model gun free of charge for my trouble. Great company with great customer service, but I wouldn’t trust my life to this gun.

1 year agoI've had my LCP II for about 6 months now and fired about 300 to 400 rounds through it. It is solid and I have failed to have a single misfeed or misfire. It's easy to clean (although it requires a small screwdriver or knife to field strip it). Some folks have reported difficulty handling small 9mm pistols. I haven't experienced this with this 380. I did add some white paint to the fixed sights as black on black isn't particularly easy to see. (The only reason it's not 5 stars). I also added an

1 year agoGreat backup 380. Like the size (fits in my pocket) very concealable. Get the extended 7 rd mags, much better grip and control for those with medium to large hands. Ruger quality as always and great price.

1 year agoOver all I like the gun, it’s very flat, light weight and it fits in your pocket. Once it’s in your pocket you can walk around with it all day and not really feel it. It is accurate, however I think Ruger could have done a better job with sight acquisition. The sights are all Black front and back and hard to acquire the target. It is jamming, but I’ll need to run a few hundred rounds through it and lube it up as it’s right out of the box. I am hoping the jamming stops or Ruger will get

1 year agoSights are better than on original lcp and are actually useable also sights are not hideous and exaggerated as on lcp custom! The new improved glock like trigger is way better than original lcp trigger or the lcp custom trigger! Another great new improvement over previous lcps is the slide locks back after last round is fired! With these improvements Ruger lcp2 is once again the best 380 pocket pistol that money can buy and as a giant bonus the lcp2 price point is less than most other 380s out there! P.S pistol is very accurate and hits to point of aim with zero malfunctions so far!

1 year agoI actually rate this 4.5 due to issues that may have been choice of ammo. Will explain. Purchased this gun on Dec 26, 2016 as I was very impressed is small size and how well it fit in my hand. I have held numerous other small handguns and they all felt funny in my hand. Cleaned the gun as stated by Ruger out of the box andTook to range a week later and shot 100 rounds. First 50 were Remington UMC hollow point 88 grain, no issues, very accurate, and was not as snappy as many had warned (I

1 year agoI bought this LCP2 because I wanted a pocket carry weapon. It is very accurate at up to about 15 yards. It is very comfortable to grip, shoot, & disassemble.

1 year agoThis is a single action pistol. The trigger pull is what most would consider "normal". Other pocket-sized pistols require a really long trigger pull. No so here. I did add some paint to the sights because they were difficult to see. I've fired 80 or 90 rounds with it and I am pleased. I also purchased a 7 round magazine and that does improve the grip due to it's longer length. It comes with a nylon pocket holster and a single magazine. A second mag would have been a plus."

1 year agoOver the years I've carried everything from compact 9mm's to tiny .22's during my search for my 'perfect' concealed carry handgun. While .380 isn't my preferred caliber, w/decent loads like the Fiocchi Extrema XTP it manages to meet FBI specs while still achieving modest expansion (.380 is the problem child; expansion or sufficient penetration, pick one). I'm both surprised by and very impressed with what Ruger's managed to deliver w/the LCP II; it's very light, very accurate, has an excellent

1 year agoI liked everything about this gun: size, compactness, easy carry in pocket, weight loaded. I bought a 7+1 magazine for better grip, so now I'm all set.

1 year agoI really like this handgun for a concealed carry firearm. Seems reliable so far and accurate for the intended purpose. Easily fits in the front pocket of jeans. It’s a little early, but I don’t have any complaints so far!

1 year agoPerfect pocket carry. Easy to handle and recoil is very manageable considering the small size. Both my wife & I EDC.

1 year agoGreat concealer but too small to grab and a good amount of kickback. Was purchased for my wife but too much recoil for her.
