Ruger has long set the standard for reliable, affordable and accurate .22 LR handguns, beginning with the introduction of the Standard Pistol in 1949. Since then, the Standard Pistol has undergone a series of enhancements with the development of the Mark I, Mark II, Mark III, and now the Mark IV Pistol. The Mark IV maintains the classic look of the original but adds a simple, one-button takedown for quick and easy field stripping.

1 year agoAccurate, classic lines, very easy to shoot, great instruction gun for first timers. I’m so glad that they re-engineered the takedown method. Easy to clean. Very glad that I made this purchase.

1 year agoThis has shot everything i fed it reliably. One hang failure to eject in over 500 rounds. Takedown and cleaning is easy.

1 year agogood balance, ease of cleaning compared to Mark III, good grips, good feel but have to adjust rear sights too much to obtain a good zero

1 year agoGreatly improved with the tilt up barrel for cleaning - and just like it’s predecessor very accurate and smooth - though I will be adding fiber optic sights - the black front one is hard to see on an indoor range against a black target

1 year agoAfter 30 rounds went through the pistol it stopped working. The last round that was fired went fine, the spent case was ejected and a new round was chambered but the trigger wouldn't reset. I called Ruger and they asked for the serial number. After I gave them the serial number they said that they needed that pistol back. They did take care of shipping to and from their facility. I had the pistol back in two weeks and haven't had an issue with it since then.

1 year agoI am an experienced shooter, it is my favorite pistol to shoot, and the one I shoot most often. Keep it clean, and don’t take it apart! Lol. Very difficult to reassemble, no need to take it apart. As far as accuracy is concerned, it will shoot straighter than you can hold it.
