The Mark IV features a simple, one-button takedown for quick and easy field-stripping and proper chamber-to-muzzle cleaning. Cold hammer-forged barrel results in ultra-precise rifling that provides exceptional accuracy and longevity. Internal cylindrical bolt construction ensures permanent sight-to-barrel alignment and higher accuracy potential than conventional moving-slide designs. Contoured ejection port and easy-to-grasp bolt ears allow for durable and reliable operation round after round. Accurate sighting system features a drilled and tapped receiver for Weaver- or Picatinny-style rail for easy mounting of optics. Ambidextrous manual safety can be converted to left-side only with included washer. Features a conveniently located push-button magazine release on the left side of the frame. Pressing a button in the back of the frame allows the barrel-receiver assembly to tilt up and off the grip frame without the use of tools.

Better that what I expected . I love the one button take down for cleaning . Nice weight to it. Only thing I did t like was the black in black sights. I ordered a set from Ruger for the front sight which can be red, white or green .

I absolutely love this gun especially with the suppressor. Very accurate right out the box. Very easy to clean too.

I love the Ruger MK IV platform. I used to own a MK II back in the 80's but traded away a long time ago. I purchased this gun specifically because it is the target model with the threaded barrel. I am purchasing a suppressor for it. I have also just ordered a Ruger 10/22 takedown with a threaded barrel onto which I can use the same suppressor (Silencerco Switchback).

I have several MK III pistols. It took some time to get used to the mag release button on the MK IV. I really like the take-down button that replaces the traditional latch. The MK IV also is tapped for optics which is another plus. I was disappointed that my MK III mags do not work in the MK IV but the MK IV mags will work in the older models.

This Mark IV Target .22 LR is a wonderful weapon for beginners and veterans alike. The pistol is accurate even in my inexperienced hands, and it's quite simple to clean. Highly recommended!

It's hard to beat a Ruger. Have the stainless hunter, 4 years old, and a 10/22 that's 42 years old, both great squirrel getters.

I have wanted one of these pistols since I was a child and I have to say I was completely satisfied with my purchase . This thing shoots so well it will probably be my new favorite plinker . Anyone on the fence about it I say just buy it . You will not be disappointed. And the threaded bull barrel is a huge plus for anyone who wants to use a suppressor or put a comp on it . Not that it needs one but it looks awsome with one on it .

Overall, I am happy with this gun. I did some mods to it and with the mods it only likes higher fps ammo.

I can’t recommend this enough. I added an optics rail, red dot, and can, but I image it’s still an excellent pistol without those. I was looking for a platform that would really allow me to have absurd levels of fun at the range, and shoot with low ammo costs. I was hesitant on the Mark IV as I like the, um, unique, disassembly process of the previous generations, but with as well as I felt Ruger did with the 10/22 takedown, I wanted to give this a chance. I’m very glad I did! In this

Order processing and shipping was quite fast, and the item arrived to my FFL dealer on time. Unfortunately my FFL dealer still has not processed the transfer, but that’s an issue on my end, not yours. Very pleased with Guns.com!

I love this hand gun! It is very accurate even with just the original sights. I was hitting my 5 inch plinker at 15 yards easily. Lots of fun to shoot with!

Freaking love this gun. Had been thinking about buying this for a while. Then price dropped $100 so had to get it. Looks and shoots great out of the box. You won’t be disappointed.

I like this pistol yet for it being a 4th gen it still ought to have an ambidextrous mag release by now. With the first 50rds I had only a single stove pipe extraction fail. ???? I’m a bit disappointed with the front sight. The case ought to be either a cardboard box or a nice fitted case worthy of this legacy pistol not...Read More Read more about review stating Good but not great…yet.

If you want to have a great time hitting the target, this is the one! It’s just a joy to shoot and it’s got great heft. I have a full line of Ruger Mark IV firearms, this is my favorite for plinking.

gun is on the heavy side as expected, super accurate and fun to shoot. not a fan of the factory grips so I put a hogue grip on and it's way better. ran the cheapest ammo I had through it (aguila 38gr) and it jammed at least once per mag. I cleaned it and put some CCI and Winchester through it after with maybe 1 jam total.
