A nice gun for the money with 1 major flaw. When quickly putting my finger to the trigger the blade safety side loads and catches which locks up the trigger until I loosen my grip

Love this tiny pistol! Go through 150 rounds the next day I received it without any malfunction. It shoots ACCURATEly and SMOOTHLY!

I love this weapon it fits right into a pants pocket or shorts pocket. With the Ready Dot it's an awesome weapon.

Great conceal carry gun, shoots really well and you cant beat the price. Cant go wrong with a ruger!

Nothing fancy, but nothing CHEAPLY made either. Ruger hits the mark with this model. It's an easy reliable shooter. I've run about 100 or so assorted rounds through it thus far, with no serious issues. This is not a long distance competition shooter! But it is a very handy back-up handgun, a good addition to my other 9's. Good potential as a defensive pistol, especially at its price point.

Very reliable. Conveniently slips into my pocket. Ideal for a concealed weapon. I like it and recommend it.

Best compact pistol out there. Super precise, accurate, and very sturdy. Ruger really nailed it with the Max-9.

The pistol has a better trigger than expected and less recoil than what I expected from a 3.2" barrel. A little disappointed with thumb release that is so small, hard to press down without using my other hand. But over-all a great subcompact.

Picked it up at my FFL and haven't gone to the range or clean it or anything yet. I still think it is just what I expected and wanted and I'm very Happy with the max-9 and the price. Saved about 62 dollars after FFL charge from a $499 max-9 price in other shopping places. Also, not encluding that FFL charge. Therefore, I saved 62 + 40 = 102. I was amazed when I first shot the max 9 It was right on target and with the optic sights I was back on target in a second. Only fault I found was with the slide release being a little hard to release. Other than that it's a fine gun for conceal carry

I got talked out of the ruger ec9s which I had researched to be a decent carry gun and into the max 9. At a difference of about $100 there is no comparison. I put 250 shells through the max 9 on my first day and I have to say this is my favorite hand gun I may have ever bought. It’s very small but still has a moderately heavy frame so the recoil i...Read More Read more about review stating Which ruger to carry?

Perfect EDC gun. Shoots dead on with ease. Front green sites and ready for optic/ or not. Ran first 100 rounds threw it and it was flawless. Don’t pass this by without shooting one first. Very easy to also conceal carry!

This is my EDC. I love this thing. It has a wider grip that fills my hand nicely, which is a concern with small guns and big guys. It's light and the price point is great. The manual safety has a satisfying click and is easy to reach and flick in a fluid lotion when drawing from a holster.

Great feel. Needs a better trigger. Too much play. If you don't get your grip and finger just right it will hang. I upgraded with a better trigger. Now it's five star.

Through my recent gun self defense course, I got to shoot every style of 9mm and although Glock is preferred by most people, the Max 9 is my personal favorite handgun. I purchased the Ruger EC9s, then the Max 9 and got the Ruger Ready Dot for $99. It is a beautiful weapon. It has a much nicer weight and balance compared to the EC9s. Granted, the EC9s is meant for total concealment. The Max 9 is slightly heavier, but just as concealable. It has a fuller grip in the hand. Another plus is this is

Reliability is the most important thing about a carry gun and this Ruger Max-9 was 100% for the 40 or so rounds I put through it in my single time I took it to the range. I need to shoot it more before I consider it rock solid but I'm happy with it's basic functioning so far. That's the good news. Unfortunately, my experience with Ruger products has been mixed and this gun has some problems. The main fly in the ointment is the trigger. The trigger safety is poorly designed and snags about every

I have the Ruger Max 9 and several Sig P365. I like the Ruger Max 9 almost as much as my Sigs. I is a little more snappy than a Sig, but much more economical to purchase without giving up the accuracy. Ruger Max 9 is the best value for the price, hands down. Invest your saving into a great Red Dot sight, and that’s all you need.

I also find the trigger safety tang to be a problem whenever I try to draw and fire as fast as possible. If your finger doesn't meet this safety tang perfectly, you are unable to fire this firearm.
