The Ruger Redhawk in 44 Rem Mag features dual chambering for .44 magnum models, which also accept factory .44 special cartridges. The rugged stainless steel construction with no side plates, this Ruger is designed specifically to handle powerful magnum loads through extra metal in top strap, sidewalls and barrel mounting, while the cold hammer-forged sleeve and shroud barrel provides outstanding accuracy. Triple-locking cylinder is locked into the frame at the front, rear and bottom for more positive alignment and dependable operation shot after shot.
Single-spring mechanism allows for a smooth, light trigger pull. Easy sighting with readily replaceable, insert front blade sight and adjustable rear sight with white outline. Patented transfer bar mechanism provides an unparalleled measure of security against accidental discharge. The Redhawk also accepts factory .44 Special cartridges.

1 year agoIt is a heavy gun, but that's good for recoil. When you first get it, cleaning and lubing is a must, because the action is kind of sticky and gritty from the factory. After cleaning and then lubing with some lucas oil, it works much better. remember the trigger must be fully released for reset. BIG plus for it being rated for the most powerful factory cartridge.

1 year agoThis is a fantastic and long sought after gun. Balanced and an excellent fit and finish. 44 full loads are manageable and what fun! Great trigger action that belies its size. If you want a 44 or 45 ACP in redhawk you will not be dIsappointed. GaG is excellent in both price and service.
