Ruger Security 9 9mm Hogue Grip Pistol, Black – 3819
Compact for easy concealment, the mid-sized Ruger Security 9 is designed to fit a variety of available holsters and concealed carry options. Features rugged construction with blued, through-hardened alloy steel slide and barrel and high-performance, glass-filled nylon grip frame.
The Secure Action used in the LCP II and Security 9 is derived from the reliable and proven hammer-fired LCP fire control system. The Secure Action combines the smooth trigger pull of the LCP with the short, crisp feel and positive reset of a single action.
The Security 9 also Features a dovetailed, high-visibility sight system with drift adjustable rear sight and fixed front sight. Sights can be easily changed out for different color options (available separately).
Internal, Secure Action hammer provides strong ignition force yet allows for easier slide racking when compared with many striker-fired pistols. Front cocking serrations enable positive slide manipulation.
Safety features include bladed trigger safety; manual safety; neutrally balanced sear with significant engagement and strong spring tension; and hammer catch to help prevent the hammer from contacting the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled. Safe, easy takedown with no special tools or trigger pull.

1 year agoLove it!! The ruger security 9 4' Barrel, 9mm, 10 rd handgun is a good choice. Because it fits in my hand well and the recoil is less. Overall it's worth the money.

1 year agoRuger has always been a good weapon, ever since my dad had his 22 rifle. Always enjoyed Ruger, it only made sense to purchase the Ruger Security 9. Wish I was able to get my hand on the TAO Navy version. Maybe one day.

I love the feel of the Gun...the weight....the lighter pull action to load it...the sights . You definitely need to buy a autoloader for the mags, simplifies the loading process. I would recommend this G...Read More Read more about review stating Great handgun.

1 year agoNice gun, and the grips are nice. But please be aware that this particular SKU only comes with two 10-round mags, not the usual 15-round mags. This is why it gets the 3-stars. I made the mistake of thinking this was just the regular Security 9 package with Hogue grips added, and didn't realize until I opened up the box that it only included two lousy California-complaint 10-round mags. Fine deal if you live in CA, but why anyone would sell this anywhere else is beyond me. So now I'm out
